Description

Iconic Schwinn invented Airdyne technology around power unlimited wind resistance and continues to refine the technology to stand out amongst its peers. The Airdyne AD8 is the latest iteration of Schwinn’s Airdyne air bike range, and a more fully featured model than the company’s AD6i and AD2i models. Splitting up legs only isolation and alternating to arms only isolation every 5 calories (until 50 calorie total is met) + 50 Squats + 50 Pushups + 50 Pull-ups For time

Getting the bike into these spaces is relatively straightforward thanks to the two wheels on the front base. Built-In Fitness Programs. There are nine preset workout programs can help make the most of exercise sessions. On the other hand, with the Airdyne, the main priority was comfort, and so it offers multi-position hand grips for a variety of workouts, a highly adjustable, comfortable seat, and a single-stage belt drive that helps the machine run smoothly. Its body is made out of alloy steel, and much like the Assault Airbike, it has a high-resolution display that shows your workout variables; however, it’s much more detailed, giving you information about the watts, distance, time, speed, RPM, heart rate and calories.

Arguably one of the greatest ergonomic triumphs here is the multi-position grab handles, which allow for standard overhand grips, as well as a lower underhand variant that takes a little strain off the front of the shoulders. Sometimes referred to as the “Misery Machine” by those who have fallen foul of its punishment prowess, an air bike consists of pedals that are attached to a large fan at the front, which in turn is also powered by long grab handles. Think of it as the sweaty lovechild of a classic exercise bike and an elliptical. The result is a piece of equipment that simultaneously works the upper and lower half of your body, requiring the heart and lungs to work doubly as hard to keep up. Opt to have the Airdyne AD8 delivered unassembled, and there is some Ikea-style building to be done. Although the instructions are clear and the only real difficulty is hefting some of the chunkier components out of the box and into position. The pegs located around the centre of the front fan are a fairly common feature on air bikes, as they allow you to rest your feet while performing arm-only workouts. The ones on the Airdyne are triangular, giving you three flat platforms for your feet. On the first few workouts these irritated me as my feet kept finding the angle between two flat surfaces. But once I realised these pegs are free moving, it didn’t take much to rotate them with my toes. Still, I prefer the rounded pegs of the AssaultBike than having to search for a flat surface. Every day we receive thousands of requests to equip commercial gyms with domestic machines. We always make 100% clear that the domestic warranty is not valid for a commercial gym, however small it may be. Please keep in mind that if you buy a domestic machine and put it in a commercial environment, the warranty won´t cover any type of damage.
