I mentioned in my Igor review that it was my second favorite Tyler album… this is the first, by a wide margin. I don’t talk about it much but this is EASILY in my top 20 all-time favorites. Yeah, no joke. I loved it from the moment I heard it & my feelings haven’t changed: every single song on here is so catchy, memorable, fun, and well-performed, it’s astonishing to think that Cherry Bomb dropped just 2 years before this. It was the perfect evolution of his style, showing a HUGE amount of growth as an artist & as a person: his lyrics became more mature, his style became more soulful/psychedelic, and the songs had a more consistent through line. I can’t praise this enough. Boredom" by Tyler, the Creator Review". Pitchfork. Archived from the original on September 13, 2018 . Retrieved September 13, 2018.
