Every Deftones album cover is visually compelling, but the strange allure of 1997's Around the Fur makes it arguably their most striking. No doubt, it's a cool memory for the cover model, not to mention a great way to remember her relationship with the band. FYI: recently some smart people made a documentary about Big Brother that features all your favourite Jackass scumbags. The color contrast of this piece is incredible, the text has the regal glow of a fine Mercedes Benz dashboard, and the detail — from the "town" knuckle tats and the shimmer of her jewelry, to the hyper-realism of her pose — is simply superb.

In the present day, the cover star's been identified as a middle-aged medical worker from the Pacific Northwest who's still proud of her association with the group. Upon his arrival, Kosick spent some time shooting the band in the studio and eventually brought his camera to one of their late-night soirees. So, they turned to John Taylor, who had helmed their previous two albums, and told him they wanted to make a heavier record. The album Adrenaline by Deftones is widely regarded as one of the most influential nu-metal albums of all time.Watch the video for Crosses’ new single Invisible Hand, taken from their upcoming 15-song album Goodnight, God Bless, I Love U, Delete. The result is an emotionally charged record that deals with loss and grief in a very raw and honest way.

Turning off the personalised advertising setting won’t stop you from seeing Etsy ads, but it may make the ads you see less relevant or more repetitive. is unlike any other nu-metal album of its time, and visually, it's unlike any heavy rock album before or after.Deftones vocalist Chino Moreno and guitarist Stephen Carpenter were fans of Kosick's work and decided to fly him up to Seattle, where they were recording Around the Fur, to shoot the album's cover.

You can tell exactly what the music is going to sound like just by looking at that image, and once you actually hear frenzied bangers like "Push It" and "I'm With Stupid," there's no better visual representation than a man being zapped in the electric chair. One of the factors that their fans point out is the lack of anthemic grandeur that album covers like White Pony had.Photographer Rick Kosick snapped the shot at a late-night pool party held by the band, as Revolver reported in 2013.
