She currently lives with her sister, and both American women have lost their biological fathers. As a result, the stepfamily is the one taking care of Piper and her sister.This was a sweet romance between a socialite and a sea captain. It was cute. Definitely looking for more from this author.

Piper pulled her phone out of her clutch and absently requested a luxury Uber, connecting her with a driver who was only five minutes away. Then she closed the app and pulled up her favorites list. Her thumb hovered over the name “Hannah” momentarily, but landed on “Kirby,” instead. Her friendanswered on the first ring. The way Brendan grounds Piper is commendable and I loved the changes their relationship brought out in her character, especially when we learned of all the things she’d done to help the other residents of Westport. For Piper, I can only see Annie Murphy. Piper will never be anyone else in my mind — that's just her. Hannah is Josephine Langford for me. Fox is Tyler Cameron of Bachelorette fame. Brendan is the hardest to cast because nobody really looks like the big, salty, seafaring man I have in my head. But I would love to see a bearded Tom Hardy play him," she continued. Brendan from It Happened One Summer may look like another big, bad, and grumpy fisherman, with his bearded looks and sailor suits. However, he is a kind-hearted man who is willing to support Piper in delving deeper into other sides of life that she has never opened up to before.
