Most people will pick up this comic because of the covers"though there is an entertaining story behind the cover.

With Gun Honey I think you need to be open to pulp fiction/noir storytelling to truly appreciate how great and fun this first issue is.Considering this is pulp fiction, it delivered exactly what I was expecting - story worthy of good old action movies.

Joanna Tan is an interesting character with an intriguing backstory and enough mystery to fill a few adventures, which I saw there will be more. After accepting a gun plant to kill a prisoner, the weapon is used to start a prison riot and Joanna is forced to work for the government to bring the killer back to justice. I keep seeing the phrase “classic noir” thrown around but for the sake of comparison, maybe just say exploitation. But yeah, you're not going to be stopping every few pages, attempting to decipher the most cryptic of plots.She'll get you the weapon you need, when you need it, where you need it -- no matter how impossible.
