Description

The light uses an integral 7.2-V 12,000-mAh Li-ion. While this provides twice the milliamp hours as the X9R Marauder, it’s also not replaceable in the event of failure. However, the LR80R also has both USB-C and USB ports, the latter allowing you to use the discharge function to power external devices.

ion batteries are powerful cells designed for commercial applications and must be treated with caution and handled with care. Only using quality batteries with circuit protection will reduce the potential for combustion or explosion. Cell damage or short circuiting caused by using this type of battery is considered user induced damage and is not covered by any Fenix warranty or liability. Even though you need to bring your own charger (not a problem for most people, I imagine), charging the battery is very easy. You will notice that charging a 21700 battery will take a little longer because of its huge capacity. It may take between three or four hours for a fully depleted battery to be recharged. When the indicator light turns green again, the battery is fully charged. The light memorizes the last selected output excluding strobe. When turned on again the previously used output of general mode will be recalled. The Fenix PD36R Pro is a pretty large upgrade over the older PD36R in nearly all metrics and is overall a well-rounded flashlight. However, I can’t help to draw on the large number of similarities to the TK20R 2.0 that I reviewed earlier this year. Same LED, Same UI, Same battery, very similar performance, Same tail cap, and same clip. Where they differ is mainly in the charging port cover, and head size. The TK20R V2 is more of a tactical purpose, where as the PD36R Pro is more EDC/General use while also being capable of tactical use.

When using the included battery, if the battery voltage drops below 3 V the torch is programmed to downshift to a lower brightness level until eco output is reached, at which point the battery indicator will flash red to remind you to charge the battery. I got the following measurements of the center of the beam with my Opple Light Master at 3 meters with the Fenix being on Turbo: When you switch on the PD36R, the side switch LED will show the battery level by using 2 different colors. Red and Green.

While the M2R Pro Warrior is designed to be a handheld flashlight, it’s compatible with the company’s magnetic remote pressure switch, allowing you to use it with your home-defense carbine or shotgun. Olight M2R Pro Warrior First, let’s note that they are very similar lights. Both are about 5.5 inches long, weigh around 5 ounces, and have USB-C rechargeable batteries. This is where the PD36R PRO versus PD35R races gets interesting. The PD36R PRO will power out 350 lumens for a whopping 8 hours and 15 minutes. That’s a healthy battery life for a relatively small flashlight. For comparison, the PD35R can push 350 lumens for just 4 hours and 45 minutes. There’s no knurling to speak of. There are tiny grooves machined into the battery tube but they don’t provide much grip. Likewise, there are some light grooves in the tailcap that assist slightly when removing and installing the tailcap.

A: Because the PD36R Pro is extremely compact, its heat dissipation area is limited. When the light reaches a temperature of a certain level, the light will automatically step down a few lumens to reduce the temperature due to the limitation of heat dissipation capacity, resulting in the accumulated runtime of the Turbo mode not much different from the runtime of the High mode. (For specific runtime performance, refer to the runtime graph in the manual) I compare everything to the KillzoneFlashlights.com 219b BLF-348 because it’s inexpensive and has the best tint! Conclusion What I like The anodization of the PD36R is spotless. Nothing to complain about the quality. The thing I don’t like so much is the shininess. It looks a little cheap IMHO. This doesn’t mean that the quality is subpar, it just means that it doesn’t look as good as Jetbeam’s anodization. That’s all.

Fenix PD36R Pro | Expert Review by Koen van der Jagt Fenix PD36R Pro | Expert Review by Koen van der Jagt

All of my readings were taken from a fully charged Fenix 21700 ARV-L21. I recharged it between each test. I tested Amps with a Fluke 77III and original Fluke wires. Amp measurement: The X9R Marauder is Olight’s brightest and most powerful flashlight. By using six Cree XHP70.2 LED lights, the X9R is capable of producing 25,000 lumens and 99,200 candelas. While it exceeds the light output of the Fenix by 7,000, its beam intensity is approximately one third that of the LR80R. This results in more flood and a less well-defined hotspot. This starts to get a little more exciting. Fenix decided to add a Luminus SST40 with a maximum output of 1600 lumens. Later more about the lumen part. Measurement disclaimer: Testing flashlights is my hobby. I use hobbyist-level equipment for testing, including some I made myself. Try not to get buried in the details of manufacturer specifications versus measurements recorded here; A certain amount of difference (say, 10 or 15%) is perfectly reasonable. What’s Included Long-term use can result in O-ring wear. To maintain a proper water seal, replace the ring with an approved spare.Note: *The turbo output is measured at total run-time, including output at reduced levels due to temperature or the built-in protection mechanism.

I measured the length at 5.74”, and the diameter at 1.09” at the head. Weight with the battery and clip came in at 6.00oz. The light IP68 water rated, which means it can survive 6.5ft of water for 30 minutes. The USB port itself is waterproof as well, so even if you don’t have the cover in place that won’t be a problem. Here are a few comparison photos with the Fenix TK20R V2, and some other lights. Dacă lumina nu va fi utilizată pentru o perioadă îndelungată, scoate-ți bateriile, sau lanterna ar putea deteriorată de scurgeri de electroliți sau explozii de baterie.A.Yes, the light is internally waterproof and is thus still waterproof without the port cover in place. The light will step down in modes until it reaches Eco mode. Once it gets to Eco mode, the battery indicator LED will blink red While the Fenix PD35TAC (Tactical Edition) is not a dedicated WML, it can be adapted to that purpose through the use of accessories. Delivering a 1,000-lumen light output and an intensity of 10,000 candelas, the PD35TAC is a tactical light specifically designed for use by law-enforcement officers and SWAT teams. Although it doesn’t produce as many lumens or as high an intensity beam as the Valkyrie, it remains an effective choice for close- to medium-range engagements. It should also be noted that the design of the reflector affects the performance of the light, depending on its shape and texture.
