By using the Service, and by creating an account you represent, warrant and confirm that you are of legal age. A Song of Ice and A Song of Fire are designed as a pair; you’re ideally supposed to sample these two spirits together to get a sense of how the House of Walker can blend its component whiskies into wildly different finished products. While some people might be saying Whiskey is not good for the health, here are 8 benefits of taking whiskey not excessively but moderately. Whiskey helps to lose weight, it helps to eradicate or prevent the incidence chronic diseases as Cancer, it helps to Cure Diabetes, to reduce the risk of stroke, it helps to improve the memory - by preventing the development of Dementia and Alzheimer, helps to reduce hangover - if you reduce your intake to one or two shots, it helps digestion, it helps the functioning of the heart, and it helps to reduce stress. For some reason, this stuff is bottled at 40.2% ABV. I’m sure there’s some marketing reason tied to that number, but it can’t possibly affect the flavor of the whisky so I’m not going to bother to look it up. Palate: Medium bodied, verging on thin. Coconut for sure, along with standards like hay, sugar-cookie, light honey, and – you guessed it – nail-polish remover.

Johnnie Walker and HBO Licensing & Retail have introduced two new Scotch whiskies in honour of the HBO â series Game of Thrones. A continued collaboration with HBO, the limited edition whiskies – inspired by the iconic and powerful House Stark of Winterfell and House Targaryen of Westeros – are now available in Kenya. The two new whiskies are successors to the White Walker by Johnnie Walker Limited Edition Scotch, which launched in 2018.

ABV:

Two different distilleries where chosen to a given House. For House Stark we have Clynelish and for Targaryen we have Caol Ila. It makes sense, given the styles of Scotch whisky that the folks at Johnnie Walker were aiming for. The Service has been prepared by us solely for information purposes to Members and the Service is based on information we consider reliable and we obtain the contents of the Service from a number of different third party sources (including Contributions), but we do not endorse, support, represent, warrant or guarantee the completeness, truthfulness, accuracy, or reliability of the Services and any information therein. With Water: Water seems to mute the aroma, initially, so I let it sit for a few minutes. The aroma becomes crisper – lime seltzer? – but no other new notes, and the whole is still muted. The palate seems thinner, but the finish is livelier, again with a lime or lime-peel note. Water is not necessary here. Johnnie Walker A Song of Ice and Johnnie Walker A Song of Fire will both be available on TakeAlot.com by the end of this week and at leading retailers from the 9 th of December 2019. The recommended retail price is R 369.99 per bottle of 750ml.

Johnnie Walker A Song of Ice is inspired by the Direwolves as the sigil for the House of Stark, showcasing malt whisky from Clynelish distillery. This whisky blend has a crisp, clean taste with green and grassy flavors and notes of vanilla and tropical fruit. Bottled at 40.2% ABV this Scotch is best served over ice (of course). Game of Thrones | Johnnie Walker A Song of Ice Tasting Notes This whisky is supposed to evoke the idea of being around dragons by its use of Caol Ila in the blend. A workhorse distillery that makes up the main peaty component of all standard Johnny Walker blends, but seems to be all but absent from this blend. I was hoping for a massive peat-forward blend that poured like a bonfire, but as you’ll see below, it was barely a match strike. We were very proud to partner with Johnnie Walker again to bring more whiskies to the realm. The Game of Thrones audience continues to both engage with the culture fostered around the series and look for the special collectibles that let it live on. After seeing the excitement there was for White Walker by Johnnie Walker, we are thrilled to celebrate the end of an epic tale by offering more quality whisky for fans of the show and whisky enthusiasts to collect and enjoy,” said Jeff Peters, Vice President, Licensing & Retail at HBO.
