This scent was released in 2016 and is the only perfume available from Michael Buble and was developed with the parfumier Karine Dubreuil who has also worked with brands such as Lanvin, Gucci and L'Occitane.

I'm going to say that By Invitation smells similar to Decadence by Marc Jacobs, the difference is the way the patchouli and praline mix together. This women's fragrance By Invitation is not just a celebrity fragrance, it is an ideal gift for women for any occasion, including valentines day, mothersday, . On my skin in particular it opens sweet then goes immediately spicy--it's all sandalwood and herbs on me, like I broke into my husband's cologne. Those three notes pretty much carry out through the remainder of the fragrance with a hint of rose and bergamot in the dry down. I am keeping it and since it only takes a well placed spray or 2, this will last me a very long time!

For example, some top note citrus scents smell stronger immediately upon application, while a lavender middle note may be sensed after some time from application as the top note evaporates. On my skin it smells completely different (fruity and fresh) in the beginning than it does during drydown.

If the lily of the valley is there it's playing a supportive roll, maybe giving a hint of fresh creaminess to it all. Some mention that it's long-lasting and pleasant without being too strong, while others say that it can be a bit strong for some but worth it as it smells like a very strong air freshener of the older variety. Beautiful bottle though the bracelet is quite narrow so the whole thing is prone to tip over easily as it did on the display. Right before I went to Goodwill, I thought what the heck, I will just try it again but this time with 2 sprays.

It’s not a fragrance that I can wear too close to the front of my body either otherwise I start to get somewhat headachy. On my skin it resembles 'La Petite Robe Noir Intense' and it reminds me a lot of Lancome's 'La Vie est belle' -> 2 scents I can truly live without. I enjoy the drydown most - the sweet chills tfo and the warm sandalwood comes to play for 8-10 hours.
