Bound by hand in Dauphin calf leather (see swatch below) by our master craftsmen; the playing board is hand inlaid and embossed with the Scrabble® values in silver. Separating each playing square is a fixed a chrome metal grid. This upstands just enough to keep the letters stable when spun on the integral Lasy Susan turntable which is built into the underside of the plinth. This stunning Scrabble Set is printed onto a cowhide; the same leather as you will find on a boxing glove, we can make the scrabble board in any colour way you like. This board is then inlaid into a leather frame and placed atop a hand-bound tray which contains all of the gaming components you require. There is no real set answer, however; the board should be a minimum size. Our tournament and our competition-size boards are traditionally used at tournaments and considered an acceptable size. The Streaming board we supply to tournaments is a Competition size for those who have played on it and want to create their own.While we're most often requested for English Scrabble, we're also often approached for German Scrabble and Russian Scrabble. If there's an existing custom scrabble set in the language you require we may be able to replicate a custom scrabble set in your chosen language. Family Boardgames Geoffrey Parker founded his company in 1958 following his time in the RAF during WW2. Settling in rural Essex, Geoffrey started to combine his love of literature with his love of leatherwork. His passion, however, first led him to create miniature leather-bound books while also running a rare bread pig farm. In his spare time, he sold the books to famous brands including Dunhill as a popular gift in an era where books weren’t stored in a phone. Our smaller board sizes are recommended for those who play casually or like to take a board on their travels.
