In his younger days, Cringer lost his claws and received his name when he was a young tiger cub and had been forced into R'Qazz's employ together with several others of his tribe, including Katuna, Prowler and Bash. As Adam read aloud the magic words "By the Power of Grayskull, I have the Power", he transformed into the most powerful man in the universe in front of Cringer and Krass's eyes.
