I liked the story but overall even I as an adult had a hard time going through the book because of the uncommon vocabulary words so it was okay. I did like the message that just because you think someone’s for you, doesn’t mean they have to agree, and you have to deal with that. I just simply adored the amount of character that Nadia Shireen manages to get into the simple illustrations.Her illustrative work is a smorgasboard of giant, hand-printed poems, mind-bogglingly detailed gouache illustrations and a cacophony of quirky prints and etchings. They find the drain blocked and slime trails but when they examine the sewer they find nothing wrong. Using a rope tied to his car he manages to remove the manhole cover, just before Brady's oxygen supply runs out. This big, colorful book shows that love can be “slippy” and unpredictable and maybe a bit mucky at times, but it’s out there.
