Yes I agree with jwise. The A'Bunadh is a real sherry "monster" and completely different compared to the 18 yo. I have both the 23 and the 24 batch of the A'Bunadh and it is amazing. I highly recommend it! It was bought by Robert Thorne & Sons who later sold it to W. H. Holt & Sons in 1921, a brewery near Manchester. It changed hands again in 1945 to S. Campbell & Sons Ltd. Finish: Simultaneous feeling of meaty orange and toffee cereal with cream. Medium length and never getting too bitter.

Aberlour 14 yo 2005/2019 (58.7%, OB for The Whisky Lodge, 2nd fill oloroso sherry butt, cask #213017, 630 bottles) - 180620Sweet Barley, Heather-Honey, Nuts, Plums, Lemon, Cinnamon, Licorice, light Leather, Grass and Earth . This is a rich and refined dram, with a palette that brings together the dryness and spice of a good Sherry with the sweetness and warmth of Bourbon. Aberlour 14 yo 1993/2008 'Flying Short Bread' (59.4%, Juuls, Flying #7, cask #7367, 232 bottles) - 130411 Nose: Vanilla bean goodness; Perfect balance of fruit compote, malt, and an orange blossom honey atmospheric cradle that holds it all together. I highly recommend the 18y - it is very different and, frankly, I think perhaps more flavorful than the A'bunadh.

The honey of the nose becomes a little bit more vanilla in flavour and gives great depth to the oak wood that starts to appear. Vanilla, Toffee/Caramel, Milk Chocolate, Apple, Dried Fruit like Raisins, Sultanas and Apricot, Peach, Mandarin/Orange, Grapefruit, Strawberry, Pepper, Nutmeg, Mint and Oak. Aberlour 20 yo 1997/2018 (59.1%, OB ‘Distillery Reserve Collection’, cask #9057, sherry butt, 1056 bottles) - by Angus - 011218 We may, but are not under any obligation, to release new functionalities and tools or other features for the Service every now and then. Wonderfully light, mild and also so well matured. Viewed from the PLV, one of the greats in whisky heaven. Respect for this bottling, because there is almost nothing to complain about here. And that's why: house whisky.

Aberlour 16 yo 2005/2021 (56.7%, OB for La Maison du Whisky, sherry hogshead, cask #214040, 243 bottles) - 231121The palette introduces some more orchard fruits, with pears and peaches coming out. These are ripe and bursting with flavour.

Aberlour 8 yo 2012/2020 (58.5%, Whisky Is The Limit, 1st fill oloroso quarter cask, cask #800916, 225 bottles) - 180121 Aberlour-Glenlivet 19 yo 1995/2014 (52.6%, Cadenhead, Wine Cask, Sauternes finish, 264 bottles) - 230617 Bitter-Sweet, Fruity and slightly Thin. A few Sour elements as well. Perhaps a tad of Sulphur but nothing serious. The Alcohol remains noticeable. The Sherry cask influence is more clear now.Without prejudice to the section Liability below, the Service may be temporarily unavailable during maintenance, updates, etc. We shall make reasonable efforts to inform you of any unavailability due to maintenance or updates. This expression has been matured in Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry casks and bears the best of both these worlds. My revisions would continue - but the bottle is empty... :-) However, I definitely lost some of the earlier In 1975 Pernod Ricard acquired Campbell Distilleries, and they joined with Chivas Brothers in 2001 and eventually opened a visitors centre.
