Description

While it’s common for RGB effects to require you to have software running in the background, I truly detest iCue, which is why I wish the onboard memory would suffice to keep my favorite light shows playing. Going back to the multimedia keys, you can see that the design is more consistent with the rest of the keys on the board.

It's mainly made out of plastic, and the top plate is aluminum, giving the keyboard a better build than the Corsair K68 RGB, but the keyboard flexes a bit. maintains the rock-solid keycap design of Corsair's other mechanical keyboards, with the media control keys retaining their position just above the numerical keypad. It looked cool and had one interesting feature, but ultimately it was a product that was solely made to capitalize on nostalgia. Under the keycaps, Corsair has stuck with the ubiquitous and well-loved range of Cherry MX mechanical switches. I never stumbled over keys while playing games and they’re comfortable for just about any game type.Low Profile RAPIDFIRE Mechanical Gaming Keyboard combines the comfort of low-profile, low travel keys, with the performance of ultra-fast Cherry MX mechanical keyswitches and stunning RGB lighting. You can really tell this keyboard will last years, like all of Corsair's products it is sturdy and practical while having a sleek design.

The lack of tactile feedback may put off some, but there’s a crispness to linear switches that is hard to match, and the low key travel coupled with a low actuation point/force leads to a very responsive feel both when typing and in games, although it certainly didn’t make me a better gamer - that's a lost cause.I will say that I’ve not had any lag or other issue between pressing a key and actually experiencing it fire in-game. The keyboard has onboard memory for up to three profiles, and you can save as many profiles as you like in the software.
