The ’1s are stunning with vocal-based material. We listen to the likes of Tracy Chapman’s Telling Stories, Van Morrison’s Moondance and Bon Iver’s For Emma, Forever Ago and marvel at the way these speakers deliver voices in such a solid and expressive way. You’d need to spend closer to four figures to get any better in this respect. There are rivals that dig up as much information, but few deliver it with such a sense of passion and enthusiasm. The beauty of the soft dome tweeter is its impressive ability to play even the lowest parts of the high-frequency range without any break-ups. This is crucial when handling the all-important hand-over from the woofer to the tweeter. Not having to push either the woofer or tweeter beyond what they do best results in a seamless transition and preservation of every detail in the mid-range frequencies. Low Signal Loss These are small boxes, so really deep bass isn’t on the menu. But place them close to a rear wall and there’s enough in the way of low-end power and authority to keep us satisfied. We give the Spektor 1s a few days of running in before we get to serious listening. They mellow somewhat during that time, gaining a little refinement and losing a slightly hard edge. The result is these Dalis have the ability to draw the listener into the music in a way that eludes even the best of their price-comparable rivals.This review will pit the DALI Spektor 1s against the DALI Menuets. Both are smaller than shoe box size mini-monitors designed for widely differing purposes and markets. The Spektor 1s are a budget choice aimed right at the rear surround sound market. By using only Dali designed and custom-built drivers, the need for frequency correction in the crossover is eliminated. Vycházejme z toho, že tyto reprosoustavy ozdobí stůl nebo maličkou místnost a tam bude i bas v poměrech cenové kategorie jakž takž akorát. Navíc je příjemně vláčný a klidný, což se příjemně poslouchá. Kuželová membrána se strukturou dřevěných vláken je nejen osvědčená technologie, ale i firemní ochranná známka. Nerovný povrch kuželu membrány ze směsy jemnozrnného papíru a vláken dřevité buničiny spolu s její nízkou hmotností pomáhá minimalizovat nežádoucí povrchové rezonance.
