CONS: Holes for screwing down... it says to use 1/2 inch concrete wedge bolts. But you can't push them through the holes - the bolts are too big. SO, you must install bolts in ground then put these over them. That is HARD; very little room for any error at all in drilling holes and installing anchors. The E-Z Base and E-Z Spike products should not be used for solid fences in excess of 4' in height or that are unprotected from wind forces. Bigger issue... these are 1/8 inch or so too small for a standard 4x4! We bought the treated 4x4s at lowes - 12 of them - and every single one we had to plane and sand the corners round and 1/16 off each side before we could pound them into the base holders. It took about 10 minutes for each post and was really annoying.
