Thank you for joining me for the Positively Dad journey! My name is James Shaw and I'm a husband and father. I live in the Tampa Bay area with my wife, Terri and our young daughter, Naomi. The goal with Positively Dad for us to think, learn and grow. It's easy to get caught up in the day to day and miss opportunities to become amazing fathers. I trust that the conversations we have on Positively Dad will help you see that fatherhood is truly a journey and that we are better together than figuring it all out on our own. Did you know by just playing with your baby or toddler, you build billion of neuron connections in your child’s brain? It’s exciting. Every single interaction you have with your kids nurtures their brain growth. Reed Richards has a reputation of burying himself in his laboratory rather than spending time with his wife or children. But that doesn’t mean that Mister Fantastic doesn’t love his family dearly. Fatherhood is the difference between men and boys. A super-father changes nappies, respects his wife and cherishes his kids.

Because they think Groot is saying “I am big” all the time. The word “groot” means “big,” “large,” and “great” in Dutch! Super dads know how to make a scarier world a happy place for their kids. When life storms surge, as a dad, you keep your family cushioned from the strong waves and winds. You make sure your family stays safe as the storm passes. Dads are not always fun. Sometimes they bore us to snores. Sometimes they’re bossy. Aren’t these super-mean sentiments sometimes directed towards super-powerful beings?

Sometimes, we just need someone to jump in and save the day! With no movie superheroesin sight, who better to do so than a few superhero jokes, instead?By doing this, you create avenues for building solid relationships with your kids.
