There are two other grounds for possession which are not ‘cases’ as such. First, the court can grant possession if it thinks that it is reasonable and suitable alternative accommodation is or will be available for the tenant. Either landlord or tenant can ask the county court to decide. Help with the costs may be available under the Legal Aid Scheme. Where an assured tenant succeeds to a Rent Act Tenant, what happens if the landlord and tenant do not agree on the rent? Katrine Engberg’s debut Scandinavian noir thriller, The Tenant is a gritty crime mystery with a riveting plot that is intricately constructed. Katrine bases her story in Copenhagen and crafts a Nordic atmosphere that is uniquely styled and vividly portrays the location in all its sweeping facets.

Nilufer- Oh okay, let’s round up 3.5 to 4! Add this author’s name to my new favorite thriller authors list! Thank you so much for your assistance! case 2: the tenant has caused a nuisance or annoyance to neighbours, or has been convicted of immoral or illegal use of the premises Most tenancies granted on or after 15 January 1989 are likely to be assured tenancies (or assured shorthold tenancies). Should a person who has an assured tenancy by succession get married, on his or her death the surviving partner will not have an automatic right to take over that assured tenancy. 3. Nilufer- Oh yes, it was deliciously surprising! Not as delicious of your meat pizza I can smell from You should take legal advice about how the rules may apply in a particular case. May a tenant who is leaving, or a landlord, sell furniture, fixtures, or fittings to an incoming regulated tenant? Overall, I was drawn to the premise of this novel and though the execution wasn’t quite as impressive, I'm not ready to give up on the series altogether and fully intend to read the remaining books. Removed reference to the 'London Rental Standard' in the renting 'Direct from the landlord' section.

When a rent book is a legal requirement (for landlords in England & Wales)

THE TENANTS is hard to classify. It is a gritty personal drama, with bits of absurdest comedy and fantasy thrown in at seemingly random intervals. Most of the scenes that occupied these seemingly random acts left me confused...until I read over them again, and then again. The constant, but seamless 3rd person limited to omniscient narrator can be a bit taxing and requires patience on the reader's part. As an experimental novel, this works. Only just barely. In the hands of a lesser writer, THE TENANTS would come across as a MFA assignment gone astray. The leading investigative team was Jeppe and Anette. Jeppe was the typical flawed detective with serious emotional problems, and I felt Anette needed more character development. I failed to connect with any of the characters. I did not care for the police, nor the victims. The villains’ motivations seemed rather far fetched. Without being able to empathize with any of the cast, I was unable to care for the surprising reveals and solutions to the crimes. For shortholds outside Greater London which began on or after 1 December 1981, and for shortholds in Greater London which began on or after 4 May 1987, the landlord and tenant can agree the rent to be charged if there is no registered rent for the property. However, this does not affect the right of either party to apply at any time for a fair rent to be registered. the state of repair of the house or flat, its character, locality and age, how much furniture is provided and what it is like

Yes. The industry regulator, the Office of Gas and Markets, set maximum prices at which electricity and gas can be resold. So a tenant who pays for these by a meter supplied by his or her landlord should not be charged more than the maximum price laid down. Your landlord should give you a copy of the government’s ‘How to rent’ guide - though they don’t have to do this if you’re renting from a housing association. You can see the ‘How to rent’ guide on GOV.UK.
