Amy struggles to understand why her daughter does the things she does and tries like any mother would to stand by her daughter even through some of the farcicle marriages she has been through.

Amy gave a balanced and honest viewpoint of everything in both hers and Katie's life, which was refreshing to read. This book is a heartfelt account of a mother's love for her daughter (and both of her other children), and I really hope they all find peace and the future is brighter. I do sympathise with Kate it’s not easy at all having a disabled child until you love it you can only assume I know this first hand and I’m glad she has a strong mother like Amy she needs that .
