Description

Mitch Rapp is a great character who always leaves the bad guys either very sorry for themselves or very dead' Guardian Irene and I are in the same business—we both want to keep people safe and healthy. That’s landed us at a few of the same conferences and participating on the same panels.” He flashed the everyman smile that he was known for. “I figure the fact that she hasn’t had me killed yet makes us friends.” A huge thank you to the team that creates the Ambassador program for giving me the pleasure to read my favorite series early and recruit new fans to the World of Mitch Rapp! Among the people who will go down in history as being phenomenal authors, Vince Flynn stands out. A sure way of leaving a great legacy behind is through creating captivating literary works. Writing is a way of capturing life and immortalizing it in words. Good authors know how to transform the mind of the reader into a theater where the story is acted out. They create stories that the reader can identify with or those that can take the reader into a world of intense imagination. Authors are best identified in their genre of expertise and for Vince Flynn, writing novels in the political thriller genre is what he does best. Biography of Mr. Flynn It is a Mitch Rapp novel, so you expect action. Enemy At The Gates does not disappoint. There are multiple action scenes including an assault that features the defenders using a water cannon (I won’t spoil the scene by telling you more). Where Mr. Mills outdid himself was the way he made scenes without action have the same tension and draw as the action scenes do. This was especially true near the end of the book.

ENEMY AT THE GATES will rank as a masterpiece if not the best novel of Kyle Mills career in the thriller genre. Superbly written with edge-of-the-seat action, it focuses on the theme of betrayal, the kind of betrayal that damages not only a nation, but the kind that hits straight to the gut, that’s the most traumatic, the deadliest to the heart and soul, and the most personal. It’s a betrayal involving those caught in the middle and who suffer the repercussions of the most powerful players in the world squaring off against each other.President Cook is unappreciative of these sterling qualities. They interfered with his ambitious plans in the past and will not allow future machinations to be affected by this man. Cook makes it clear, he is not getting involved in what he states is a local Uganda Government affair.Thinking he has sidelined Kennedy, Cook insists on meeting Mitch Rapp, he needs an assessment to determine the usefulness of Rapp who he deems a potentially “powerful tool” who resonates with Love of Country, Loyalty to Comrades, and sees America as the shining Tower on the Hill. The kind of delusions easily manipulated is the thinking of this President, for he and his wife have nefarious plans. Kyle keeps proving why he was the best choice to continue the Mitch Rapp saga after the untimely passing of Vince Flynn and keeps me wanting more. I am now anxiously awaiting the next installment to see where Mitch is heading and what is in store for the rest of the characters in the Rappverse after the events of Enemy At The Gates (so many questions left unanswered).

Vince Flynn was born in Saint Paul in Minnesota USA. He was among seven siblings. Flynn had completed his graduation in economics and after graduation, he started working as an accountant at Kraft Foods. While working there, he applied for a job as an aviator with United States Marine Corps but got rejected due to medical reasons. Vince Flynn Journey as a Writer She entered an Oval Office that was all but unrecognizable. The wallpaper was gone, as were the traditional pleated curtains. Furniture had been updated to something that leaned toward midcentury modern, and artwork had slipped into the abstract. Only the Resolute Desk and flags remained. From behind, the man sitting on one of the sofas looked very much like everyone else in Washington—blue suit, nice posture, expensive haircut with a little gray at the temples. But when he put down his coffee cup and stood, he proved to be much more than one of the political operatives that infested the beltway. The latest addition to Mitch Rapp’s novel series is the Enemy of the Gates, a wonderful novel. The book is written by a great novelist, Kyle Mills after Vince’s demise.

Chronological Order of Mitch Rapp Books

Honestly, the first half of the book dragged and was a slow read. However, when Mitch goes into the field on his mission things really spice up and without giving away any spoilers you will be glued to the book for the last eight chapters. Except to scream, want to pull your hair, and cry. Talk about an emotional rollercoaster for those of us who have read the first nineteen Mitch Rapp novels. Be sure to catch my interview with Kyle Mills! That was our assumption, but our people are going through the rubble and haven’t found any bodies.” A toxic presidential election is ongoing in an America that is already weakened by internal divisions. Mitch Rapp has worked for several presidents over his career, but Anthony Cook is unlike any he’s encountered before. Cunning and autocratic, he feels no loyalty to America’s institutions and is distrustful of the influence Rapp and CIA director Irene Kennedy have in Washington. For the second year in a row, I have been honored to be chosen as a Mitch Rapp Ambassador and received an advanced copy of Enemy at the Gates (Mitch Rapp, #20)

Unbeknown to the President, Nicholas Ward and Irene Kennedy are well acquainted, even friends, reflecting having sat at meetings with similar interests. Ward runs a massive foundation designed to resolve the problems of humanity in areas of health care, renewable energy, employment, violence and poverty. He has the Midas touch. My understanding is that the facility burned,” Kennedy said. “It seems likely that they were inside.” Rapp, completely cut off from the agency, must uncover the identity of the mole and deal with him. But the situation is deeper and more complex than he ever could have imagined, involving the President of the United States himself.

Publication Order of Standalone Novels

What she said was an understatement of truly grand proportions. Ward was looking to transform health care worldwide, and Chism’s vaccine research was one of the cornerstones of that effort. Combined with Ward’s work in medical artificial intelligence and his ideas about decentralizing and democratizing the medical industry, they had the status quo under serious threat. Further, wealth creation seemed to be becoming an increasingly zero-sum game. Every time Ward won, there was some billionaire or corporation that lost. Virtually no one could keep up with him and the few who could, he hired. His love for books got him working on a book he had in mind for a long time. After working for two years, he quit his job and relocated to Colorado from the Twin Cities. He would write in the daytime and work as a bartender in the night. His first book, Term Limits was borne through a series of challenges. This happened after five years of hard work and tens of rejection letters from publishing houses. When he published his debut book it went viral and in a week’s time, got him signings with two different publishing houses. Series of books by Vince Flynn CIA’s director Kennedy gets the information about evidence of a mole scouring the Agency’s database for sensitive information on Nicholas Ward, the first trillionaire. Rapp has to protect him. But this time Rapp’s job is as difficult as he has to protect Ward and use him as bait to find the face of a traitor who is passing valuable government information. Mitch Rapp, the love child of late author Vince Flynn, has been fighting for the Red, White, and Blue in 19 heart-pounding adventures since 1999. Moviegoers might recognize him best as 2017’s The American Assassin (played by Dylan O’Brien). The storyline opens with an assessment by Mitch Rapp and CIA’s Irene Kennedy of the condition of the nation after a government traitor took out the nation’s electrical grid for a month. It triggered a domino effect of hundreds of thousands of dead Americans from cold, violence, and absence of medical care. Exploding substations caused devastating fires and the world economy collapsed without its most powerful engine - us.

I agree that she was probably involved in Christine’s death and that she has to go. But I don’t see this as a pressing issue. Kennedy still has a lot of support on both sides of the aisle and the longer she stays, the less political it will look when we put her out to pasture.” Mitch Rapp’s high school sweetheart Maureen Eliot, who was attending Syracuse University with Rapp, was killed in the December 21, 1988 bombing of Pan Am Flight 103. One year later he was recruited into the Central Intelligence Agency by Irene Kennedy.

Need Help?

Through the diversion of maintaining power and privilege, ISIS take advantage of the situation and kidnap a brilliant French microbiologist; coercing him to begin manufacturing anthrax. Fairly close friends, in fact. Their relationship had been cemented by a recent bioterrorism event that she’d had no choice but to bring him in on. The long days, long nights, and logistical nightmares they’d faced had given her a healthy respect and personal affection for the man. He was one of the most impressive people she had ever met and seemed to honestly have the good of mankind at heart. The fact that some of his views were a bit naïve was more than overcome by his enthusiasm and almost supernatural competence. Obviously, he has the potential to be a powerful tool. And he’s a simpler creature than Kennedy. He wears his motivations on his sleeve—love of country, loyalty to his comrades. He still sees America as a shining tower on a hill. Those kinds of delusions are easily manipulated.” She wasn’t sure that was entirely true. Her relationship with his predecessor had been one of mutual respect and occasionally even warmth. Cook seemed to be incapable of either. He was a ruthless man, though one with an admittedly impressive grasp of history and America’s challenges going forward. A born politician who had spent his life immersed in that world but who still managed to portray himself as an outsider. A common man who had infiltrated the political elite and was now positioned to transform it.
