Description

The groundbreaking ‘Dismaland’ show, his Paris ’68 revisited works, The Walled Off Hotel, Brexit, Cans Festival, Brookyln and Basquiat, as well as new works from Gaza and New York. Outside of Banksy’s own authorised output there are a myriad of titles covering all angles ranging from in depth analysis of his work to colouring in books. Until now, little to nothing is known about the the diversity of the Walled Off art editions and the quantities that were issued.

This copy is from the fourteenth printing and sports a characteristic endorsed sticker indicating that this edition contains 10% more contents.Full colour, and including some of the most famous/notorious works to date, including exhibiting his work at the Tate Gallery in London. The selection of records included is popular dance/electronic music on vinyl format released during the 1990’s. Explore the geography of genius in Desperately Seeking B**ksy, a pocket-sized, smaller sibling of Where’s B**ksy that illuminates the interaction between artist and space.

Sadly lacking the dust wrapper, the fine pictorial boards are without notable wear aside from some slight bumping at the corners. International postal rates are calculated on a book weighing 1 Kilo, in cases where the book weighs more than 1 Kilo increased postal rates will be quoted, where the book weighs less then postage will be reduced accordingly.

Photographer Ray Mock takes you along on his exciting hunt for new Banksy work during the famous Better Out Than In’ project. The book also pays tribute to Banksy’s rats, a reviled symbol of urban decay that the artist reimagines as rappers, violin players, and painters.

Antonelli and Maziani's experience is perhaps best represented by one of the charts within Banksy that exhaustively tracks Banksy's career in one handy, semi-easy-to-read diagram. They had been attracted by the media hype surrounding an exhibition ambiguously entitled ‘Banksy vs the Bristol Museum’. The work of Banksy is unmistakable, except maybe when it's squatting in the Tate or New York's Metropolitan Museum.

Banksy does not sell photographs or reproductions of his street graffiti, but art auctioneers have been known to attempt to sell his street art on location and leave the problem of its removal in the hands of the winning bidder. One of the few books I've got that has been on almost permanent loan to friends as it is shared around, it really is that engaging and in places very, very funny. His satirical street art and subversive epigrams combine dark humour with graffiti executed in a distinctive stenciling technique.
