the Arachnacauldron (+1 to cast and unbind, and the caster knows all the Lore of the Moonclans spells) Grinkrak’s Looncourt is a Bladeborn warband from Warhammer Underworlds Season 7, whose rules are available in White Dwarf 485. Marco D’Anna – Nurgle (5-0): A double Maggoth lord list that swaps out flies for Blightkings and brings along Be’lakor for his controlling utility player, 5-round Grand Tournament in England GB on February 25 2023. All the lists for this event can be found in Best Coast Pairings. The Showdown I painted the Spire Tyrants, a Warcry warband, in a Heresy-era World Eaters-inspired colour scheme. I’d like to paint more AoS Chaos things in this scheme.

The Loonboss on Mangler Squig gives you a powerful, fast hero unit for 300 points. At that points cost you could take two. Plus add the Fight Another Day command trait to be able to charge and retreat as well and the Squig Lure spell to run and charge. Short and useful is always my aim. Covering just what you need to know about the Gloomspite Gitz (whether you are a narrative or matched play gamer). Some provisos The Moonclan Grots battletome was teased at Blood and Glory, the UK’s largest Warhammer Age of Sigmar event, in the studio preview.

Behemoth

As with all recent Warhammer Age of Sigmar battletomes, Games Workshop aims to have a variety of available army builds within the same faction. I received a Stardrake cheap and pre-built (including magnetized rider options!) from a fellow Rollmodel, and painted that up. This was one of the biggest models I’ve ever painted, and quite a big project. Very pleased with it. One day she might even get to play. This section is almost gonna be the artifact section verbatim, except they can only be taken on a Mawkrusha. Heavy ‘un and Weird ‘Un are realistically the only ones I’d see as winners. I have a local Destruction player to me who can and does run almost every flavor of Iron Jaws list you can think of. Realistically, these traits are the only 2 that impress me. if you run 2 Mawcrushas, you can take both. I could see the +2 move as well but spells are so prevalent and dangerous, Weird ‘Un becomes practically Mandatory War Beats It’s not just gameplay, either – the Legions of Nagash battletome realises this Grand Alliance in greater detail than ever before. You’ll learn how Nagash rose to prominence following the annihilation of the world-that-was, how each Mortarch reigns over their kingdom, and what happens when a Vampire Lord thinks he can suborn a Wight King to his will without asking nicely. There are all sorts of things in the book to inspire you to create armies of your own – one of our favourites is a reference to the flaming skeletons that haunt the plains of Aqshy.

Matthew Barker – Nurgle: Glottkin makes an appearance, acting as a means for a unit of 10 Blightkings to hurtle up the board and counter charge in his opponents turn, as well as 3 Varanguard to act as an efficient and fast flanking unit. A Sneaky Skrap or warband can be formed also by a particular sub-specie of grot that dwells in the deepest forests and learned to tame or appease gigantic spiders for protection or even to be used as mounts. This can and probably will change the more you play, as well as adjusting around what armies are prevalent in your area. Whichever you choose, just make sure you practice it.During deployment, instead of setting up this unit on the battlefield, you can place it to one side and say that it is set up hidden as a reserve unit. You can set up 1 unit hidden in this manner for each friendly MOONCLAN GROT unit consisting of 5 or more models that is on the battlefield and that does not have the SQUIG or FANATIC keyword. The other two – Ironsunz and Bloodtoofs– are both good, but you could argue for a generic command trait and x2 relics (assuming you take a battalion) that could out-weigh the warclan bonus. I can’t tell you what you like more. I’m just listing what I would look at.

Do you Gloomspite Gitz vets think it'll hold it's own? Do you think it'll be fun to play? What would you change? And what are the main weaknesses/strengths of this list? Let’s start with the Moonclan Boss, the only Leader from this set. He is similar to a Loonboss with 1″ weapon, less wounds and no special ability. But that’s not all, as the army just excels at putting down value Galletian Champions that make battle tactics easier, and recent point drops to both Ardboyz and Brutes mean the army is capable of putting a pretty impressive number of wounds on the board. The Best of the Rest The Gloomspite Gitz are a chaotic and eccentric army composed of various subfactions of twisted and deranged creatures, including grots (goblins), troggoths (cave-dwelling trolls), and squigs (bouncing fungal creatures).Despite so, 3 damage on a critical hit still represents a good threat and most units will struggle to reach them if they keep distance. I painted up a Mordheim freelance knight model, for use in Magewinds, and a Reaper dark elf priest too. And also a cute little fox Kara got me! Spider Riders increase the threat damage with 10″ movement and more survivability, but they also cost more than 2 Shootas.

The Shoota is the ranged version of the basic grot and one of the two ranged options in this warband barring a couple of leaders. Oh and I haven’t even mentioned that you can recycle units through the Loon shrine to keep the value train rolling. Mathew Swinney – Stormcast Eternals – 2nd Place After reading the Start Competing article by Old Jakes Gang I was really starting to wonder what a competitive Orruks list would look like from an experienced player. I want to have fun but mostly, I want to beat that Seraphon player with his magic madness and skinks that can flee! The rivalry that he and I have is keeping us sane on the job and I love it. Alternatively, Boingrot Bounders are also really good hitters and more survivable although they cost around a fifth of your warband. It is possible to have a viable elite-only warband with Squig Riders, but that is not really the point of a Gitz Skrap… or is it?With each Warhammer Age of Sigmar battletome release there is a lot to talk about and the Gloomspite Gitz are a bumper crop given the large number of new units being released and the size of the battletome. The Loonboss is the military commander of the Moonclan Grots and as such he is an essential leader even of a Sneaky Skrap. I made some upgrades to some old terrain. I added some nice pennants to my watchtower and an optional base. (I think I might give it a non-optional base, because it looks inseparable from it now.) Over the next week or so, I’ll complete the subsequent parts of my Gloomspite Gitz review, including:
