Founded in the 1960s, during a period of cultural and social change, LSA co-founded Janusz Lubkowski believed in the power of diverse ideas. His passion for considered design with intrinsic value allowed for the company to grow from strength to strength. A classic enamelled coffee pot was the first LSA product, sold at Terence Conran’s Habitat in 1966. Since then, the LSA collection has evolved greatly. Skilled craftsmanship, ambitious design and quality materials are still at the core of every design today. Respect for the skill and tradition of the craft is neatly juxtaposed with the intuitive dexterity of the modern era of LSA glassware. LSA glasses are made using traditional methods to realise original designs however the skilled labours continue to push the boundaries of hand production and mouthblown glass. Working in teams, each person has a unique responsibility for a different element of the process, training for years to perfect their craft.
