Description

Your Mobicool MCF32/40 has a 3-stage battery protection system that actively monitors inbound DC voltage and will turn off the cooler if it senses low voltage. This feature is designed primarily to prevent the cooler from draining your vehicle’s starter battery and leaving you stranded while out on the road. It also prevents damage to accessory batteries. The battery protection system has three levels: we recommend High or Medium for applications where the Mobicool is running from your vehicle starter battery, and Low when its running from an accessory or dual battery. The original idea was to create electric coolers for a trip or camping holiday. In the meantime, the devices are also used in homes to support the existing refrigerator or to obtain more cooling space. Yes, you can continue to return items as normal as long as you follow the government guidelines about leaving your house. The manufacturer equipped the box with two power connections. It is built with a temperature memory function and 3 different levels for battery protection: Low, Med and High. If the cooler is used in the car, the battery monitor prevents the car battery from being drained. Power bank function: For this purpose, the box is equipped with a USB port that enables the smartphone to be charged.

If you are looking for a very powerful and functional electric cooler for your next camping, you can choose the Alpicool K25 portable cooler. Thanks to its very high cooling capacity, it can be used as a mini fridge. Each box was run at maximum power for two hours. We logged temperatures at the start and finish, and compared both with the ambient level. We also rated practicality, ease of use, cooling control, plus wheels, cable storage, heat and mains options. Practicality was tested by loading them with a selection of picnic gear: sandwich boxes, 1.5-litre drinks bottles, 330ml cans and the like. We balanced all against the box capacity and online prices. Verdict Electric cooler usually protrudes quite far into the box, which is why there are often considerable differences between the outer and inner dimensions. For this reason, the internal dimensions should always be observed. VolumeIt is also very robust and well made. If the cooler is not currently connected to the power supply, the cables are stowed away in the appropriate compartment. The cable measures 220 cm. Power consumption affects operating costs. The better the energy efficiency class, the lower the cost of the cooler box during your camping holiday. Some manufacturers indicate the energy efficiency class, while others list the consumption in watts. With devices with the Eco program, everyone decides for themselves in which situation the box causes what power consumption. Connections I have had (albeit cheaper) thermoelectric coolers before and they were pretty useless, not bad at maintaining temperature when used at home plugged into the mains but useless for actually cooling things down. They normally claim to be able to maintain temps down to about 15-20c below the ambient temperature - sounds OK but a closed up van/awning/tent will easily get to 30c+ in even moderate sun hence cooler potentially getting well above 10c. Wouldn't like to think what the drain would be on your battery over 4 days but, with a fan running constantly, I'd expect it to be quite a lot. This Halfords stalwart appears unchanged and, at 24 litres, is nicely placed between its family-sized 40 box and the 14-litre options, also tested here. It’s a well made product with a solid lid and good spring-loaded handle, plus there’s a flip-up rear lid for cable storage.

No worries @Davenjo , I appreciate an honest review. Will try the frozen water bottles, as many as I can fit in too reduce the void space. Our favorite electric cooler is Mobicool MM24. It is slim and designed for 1.5-liter bottles. This model ensures high cooling performance with a wide range of temperature settings. As soon as an electric cool box is no longer connected to the electricity, it no longer cools. If it is a high-quality cool box with very good insulation, it will maintain the existing temperature for a certain period of time even without electricity. How cold does an electric cooler get?

The middle capacity model of the popular trio of 'super' thermoelectric coolboxes from Dometic-WAECO. I bought a similar unit for our trip to Bala and was quite happy with it, as long as you understand its limitations I think for the money they are quite handy
