Before you can connect the Logitech K780 keyboard to your device, you need to unbox it properly. Follow these steps to ensure a smooth unboxing process: Now, press and hold the “Bluetooth” button on the Logitech K780 keyboard. This button is typically located near the power switch or on the top row of keys.

Once Bluetooth is enabled on your device, it will start scanning for nearby Bluetooth devices. At this stage, make sure the Logitech K780 keyboard is turned on and in pairing mode (indicated by a blinking Bluetooth LED). Your device should detect the keyboard and display it as an available device in the list of Bluetooth devices. We've retested the latency for this keyboard but no changes have been made to our results. For more details concerning this retest, see our Latency test below. Using the Unifying Receiver requires the use of Logitech’s Options software, which you’ll want anyway if you plan on making changes to your K780’s settings. It has hotkeys and a number of nine hotkeys for easy access to frequently used shortcuts. This keyboard is compatible with a range of operating systems, including Windows 10 and 11, Mac OS X 10.14 Mojave, 10.15 Catalina, 10.15.3 Catalina, 11.0 Big Sur, and 12.0 Monterey. Now that you have unboxed the Logitech K780 keyboard, you can move on to the next step: turning on the keyboard. After successfully pairing the keyboard, you can proceed to the next step: customizing keyboard settings (optional). We've converted this review to Test Bench 1.3, which overhauls how key input is evaluated. We've added new tests for Single Key Latency, Multi Key Latency, Data Transmission, and Chord Split. We've also introduced a new Raw Performance usage and adjusted how the Gaming and Office usage scores are calculated. You can see the full changelog here. Congratulations! You have successfully learned how to connect a Logitech K780 keyboard to your device. The Logitech K780 offers a seamless wireless typing experience, allowing you to effortlessly switch between multiple devices. By following the steps outlined in this guide, you have unboxed the keyboard, turned it on, enabled Bluetooth on your device, and paired the keyboard with your device. With these troubleshooting tips in mind, you should be able to resolve most common issues that may arise during the setup or use of the Logitech K780 keyboard. Now, enjoy typing with the convenience and versatility of your Logitech K780 keyboard! Battery life is rated at two years, although Logitech doesn’t state how much typing per day that involves. Having used the keyboard every work day for two months, the battery indicator in Logitech Options hasn’t changed, which is a good sign. Still, make sure you have spare AAA cells because the K780 doesn’t have a USB connector. Should I buy the Logitech K780?

The build quality on this device is terrific. It feels solid. The switches and keys are firm, but buttery smooth. The texture is perfect. It's an all-around fantastic design. Remember, if you encounter any issues along the way, you can refer to the troubleshooting section for common solutions. Additionally, the Logitech Options software provides customization options to enhance your typing experience further. If you prefer to connect the Logitech K780 keyboard using a USB receiver, locate the USB receiver that came with your keyboard. The K780 is powered by two AAA batteries that are included in the box. These are inserted into a panel on the underside of the keyboard. It’s beneath this panel that you’ll also find a Logitech Unifying Receiver dongle. You should definitely use this on any device that has a full-size USB port – in my experience, it offers a much more reliable and lag-free connection than connecting via Bluetooth.

Keyboard itself takes some time to get adjusted to, after years of using more traditional, larger keyboards. For me, the hardest part was that arrows are right below Enter and Shift buttons - when writing text I often hit the area to the upper left side from arrows, where Enter supposed to be. Also, having F-keys as a secondary action that requires pressing Fn button is annoying sometimes, but I don't use those keys much.If Logitech can resolve the issues this keyboard has with Mac OS 10.15, I’d love to give it 5 stars. But as of today it's not as seamless as advertised… which is a shame. Because I really want to love this keyboard.

Gently take out the Logitech K780 keyboard and remove any protective coverings or plastic films that may be present. These coverings are usually applied to protect the keyboard during transportation. Pairing to a new device is easy: you simply hold down the F1, F2 or F3 buttons until their respective lights flash rapidly. At this point, the keyboard is in Pairing Mode and will be visible to all nearby devices. Complete the connection on that device and you’re ready to go. Whether you’re a professional needing a reliable keyboard for work or a student looking for a versatile typing solution, the Logitech K780 keyboard offers the reliability, comfort, and functionality you need. Its ergonomic design and customizable settings make it a preferred choice for many users. It will fit any regular-sized phone and tablet, including the 12.9-inch iPad Pro, with devices feeling reassuringly stable in place. Even the large Microsoft Surface Pro 4 didn’t feel in danger of toppling over with the occasional forceful prod of the touchscreen.I didn’t experience the same issues connecting over Bluetooth to a phone or tablet, however, so these problems are most likely down to computing hardware, not the keyboard itself.
