All that social media has done is really reminded us all that we're monsters, and that we have that power." Four years have passed since the events of "Halloween Kills. Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) and her granddaughter Allison Nelson (Andy Matichak) have recovered from the death of their daughter and mother Karen (Judy Greer). They're trying to make a fresh start -- without the constant fear of Michael Myers. The women move into a cozy house, hide their guns in the basement, and even establish a personal life. Lonely Allison falls in love with Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell), the guy who accidentally killed a child and became the main object of hatred for the townspeople after the masked maniac disappeared. But Myers doesn't doze off: As the calendar flips to October 31, blood, murder, and horror will once again descend on the small town of Haddonfield in a purple wave. Only this time is sure to be the last. At least, that's what the film's title promises. revealing, and well capable of delivering an image as expected of this style in 2022. Even in lower light viewers will see the wear on Myers' mask and predecessor, either, if that matters, though the climax and the dénouement certainly don't shy away from some pretty intense blood and guts. The Subtitles are English SDH, Spanish, Mandarin, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Norwegian and Swedish.

However the run up to the release of Halloween Ends in late 2022 also saw a new promise made – the final showdown of two of horror cinema’s greatest icons: Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) and Michael Myers (James Jude Courtney). We were promised an epic finale for these two terror titans, a resolution to their own forty year journey worthy of everything the fans had wanted, had dreamed about and were rightfully expecting… Various EPK featurettes (Final Girl, No Place Like Haddonfield, Ending Halloween, A Different Threat, Visions of Terror and Twisted Deaths) – totalling 37 mins Language And Audio: English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround / English DVS (Descriptive Video Services) / English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround / English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround And like the previous 4K releases of Halloween (2018) and Halloween Kills, this disc presents a decent if not quite outstanding image. The Visions of Terror (1080p, 5:47): Michael Myers costumes and continuity, the iconic mask, the cave set, the radio station,Halloween Ends is typical of most studio horror films shot in the 21 st century – shot digitally on Arri Alexa cameras, with the anamorphic process used to mimic the original look and feel of the original films, resulting in a 4K digital intermediate. And this is the basis of the native 3840 x 2160p resolution image presented here, with a 2.39:1 aspect ratio that uses 10-bit video depth, has a WCG and both HDR10/Dolby Vision passes applied and is encoded using the HEVC (H.265) codec. Special Features: Includes Blu-ray and a digital copy of Halloween Kills (Subject to expiration. Go to NBCUCodes.com for details.) Includes 2 Versions of the Movie: Theatrical and Extended with Alternate Ending Gag Reel Deleted and Extended Scenes Haddonfield's Open Wounds The Kill Team Strode Family Values 1978 Transformations The Power of Fear Kill Count While most fans of the Halloween franchise won’t agree with me on this, Halloween Ends is the best Halloween film in a very long time, perhaps even over the 2018 reboot/sequel, which I also enjoyed. For the majority of its running time, it’s not a film about Michael Myers returning to stab a bunch of folks and have it out with Laurie Strode in the end. We’ve seen that several times over, and what’s refreshing about Ends is that it examines the impact of Michael Myers, sidelining him and allowing a new character to not only inhabit his visage, but analyze what would drive somebody to commit such evil. None of it’s cut and dried, nor is it definitive in any way, but watching the tragic trajectory of a character in a world that hates him is well accomplished in this film. Michael Myers popping up in the final minutes to have yet another tussle with Laurie Strode is a tired afterthought, one that the entire marketing campaign was based upon. Whether that was intentionally misleading is another discussion altogether, but I found myself drawn in by the story more than I originally thought I would be. Taking such a drastic left turn this late in the franchise, especially when it’s meant to end this new trilogy of films, is subversively intriguing. Special Features: Deleted and Extended Scenes Final Girl No Place Like Haddonfield Gag Reel Ending Halloween A Different Threat The Visions of Terror Twisted Deaths Feature Commentary with co-writer/director David Gordon Green, actors Andi Matichak and Rohan Campbell, co-producer/first assistant director Atilla Salih Yücer, and production assistant Hugo Garza Whatever your thoughts on Halloween Kills, it ended on an intriguing cliff-hanger – hinting at an evolution of evil, of how it had evolved past simply inhabiting the soul of a single man and now had been somehow released, alongside Myers’ own mortality and it promised much in terms of the final showdown with Laurie Strode as a result. Yet despite a handful of well executed thrill kill scenes (the opening baby-sitting accident is the best scene in the entire film and shows that Gordon Green can do when he puts his mind to it), the overarching narrative of Halloween Ends is not just a confusing mess (unlike the previous two films, the link between theme, narrative and character here is muddied from the get go – character motivations baffle, dialogue exchanges seem to about face in their meaning mid-sentence and even the simple story arc of key characters are puzzlingly obtuse) but it annoyingly pivots away from the end of … Kills completely (Myers is now a homeless man who can barely stand, not the mythic, invulnerable embodiment of evil he ended the last film as), almost jettisoning Myers wholly from its storyline, replacing him with a new character with no heritage at all and ultimately robbing the audience of the prime reason for this film to even exist.

trying something different, but fans will immediately think of several more interesting ways that the character could have been integrated into the franchise that has spawned no less than 13 films in about four-and-a-half decades? Not likely. John Carpenter's original classic has yet to be topped, and it won't; it's not only the best in the

In the effective cold open, set one year earlier, we see the events that led to Corey being accused of killing the boy he was babysitting. It was an accident, but the legacy of Michael Myers has infected Haddonfield which has "turned in on itself". There's always got to be somebody to blame, and Corey is the unfortunate soul.

In his free time, Shane loves going for runs and playing with his 16-year-old beagle Butterscotch. Butters for short, she has been the greatest love of his and inspires him everyday, both creatively and emtionally. On top of that, he's now a huge collector. He loves Funko Pop, McFarlane Toys, and Neca's huge line of horror figures. In the last two years he has been going to a lot of conversations to buy an unhealthy amount of figures. This has also allowed him to meet some of his favorite filmmakers/actors like Mike Flanagan, Matthew Lillard, John Carpenter, Grace Caroline Curry, Steve Burns and Kathryn Newton. A Different Threat - As Haddonfield evolves to a new era, we examine how the evil within has also evolved. Instead, the boy in his charge dies and, while he is not found complicit in the death, he becomes a social pariah in Haddonfield, bullied and battered If your biggest Halloween Kills complaint was that it was just a series of killings in place of a plot, then Halloween Ends is the reverse of that. For the final outing, David Gordon Green has slowed things down for a different kind of Halloween movie, but it only really leads to other problems. Were Halloween Ends the middle part of this particular trilogy or a standalone instalment, you'd write it off as an interesting, if unsuccessful, attempt at something new. But the movie's position as the culmination of the franchise exacerbates its failures as it's not only not giving you what you expected, it hasn't replaced it with something compelling either.Special Features: Includes 4K UHD and a digital copy of Halloween Ends (2022) (Subject to expiration.
