I understand that if I pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all my donations in that tax year it is my responsibility to pay any difference. Beacon’s membership module supports the maintenance of membership records in an intuitive way. It provides useful statistics, and it allows members to apply for and renew their membership online. The U3As that use this feature report increased member numbers, as it’s easier to join and renew online than by post or in person. Provide a square format image (aspect ratio 1:1) as other formats will not suit the membership card layout

If you pay Income Tax at the higher or additional rate and want to receive the additional tax relief due to you, you must include all your Gift Aid donations on your Self-Assessment tax return or ask HM Revenue and Customs to adjust your tax code. Beacon was developed within the U3A and has one job: to support volunteers in their day-to-day work. Beacon will evolve to meet the future needs of U3As. The upgrade is being specified now by the Third Age Trust and by volunteers from U3As based all over the country.
