Our parcel was a bit late in arriving so we missed BFF day but we had some fun during half-term getting creative with this kit. Like most children my little two love slime, they think it is great fun so were happy when I was recently sent a Glam Goo set for BFF day. Caitlin was happy to do her own thing and spent a happy half hour mixing and playing with the Glam Goo which has a strangely sticky consistency, slightly different from homemade slime.

The packs are aimed at 6 years plus and I am careful to make sure the toddler doesn’t get hold of them. Either way it’s suggested you scrape off as much as possible first and only put in the washing machine once it is all off. Yes the whole family does, there is something about the gooeyness and stickiness of the slime and the ability for us to mess about with it which makes it feel so therapeutic. Overall the slime worked well, was great fun for the girls and I think was appreciated on BFF Day for us! You also get a mixing spoon and instructions which contain suggested recipes, but M enjoyed making her own more. The big set comes with a huge tub of goo which you can make lots of different colours and combinations.

It would have been nice to separate the slime and make it different colours but it was just too sticky. The girls did use up all the included slime from one Deluxe Kit in a one session but there were three of them and it would last longer for one person. I’m quite relieved that my son hasn’t gotten into the whole slime thing, although he’s probably the only child in the world who hasn’t! The kids seemed to enjoy being creative and playing with the goo though and it kept them entertained for a few hours during half-term. We opened the pack of slime and started to add some sparkles, Meme choosing the white ones and Harri putting a bit of everything in. After a bit of kneading I found the slime gets sticky if you keep it in your hand, but if you keep kneading and squishing it, it has a good consistency. In total we managed to fill the nine compartments in the main storage bag, the heart shaped compartment on the front, the ring and two further small pots for the boys which has made for very happy children.
