Ruby is first seen meeting Violet along with her other roommates Jade and Bella. Once they met they took a selfie together, with Violet posting it online shortly after this. After they meet and mingle with each other, they're greeted by Ms. Wright, who gives Ruby and her friends their runway assignment. While being not as close as her other friends, Krystal asks Bella if she can be featured on The SCENE so she can tell how she got un-expelled in Rainbow High.

Just like Poppy, Sunny is close with Skyler due to the three of them being roommates. The two are frequently seen together and enjoy each other's company, with Skylar helping cheer Sunny up on her first day of school. Jade co-starred with River as his romantic interest in Holly and Laurel's play “A Winter Tale of Two Super Beautiful Enchantresses”. She also thought he was cute when she first saw him in " Bring On Rainbow Cheer". Her and Jade have had a complicated relationship, since Jade and Violet always seem to be on opposing ends of arguments, especially when Bella is involved.
