Hilti and Makita are just Hilti and Makita. Hilti doesn’t have any subsidiary companies underneath them or a parent company over them. Makita, on the other hand, did acquire the Dolmar brand in 1991, bolstering its already-impressive line of outdoor power equipment tools. However, considering Makita announced it would stop making gas products in 2022, the Dolmar acquisition now seems less significant. When the Power Pivot add-on is enabled, the Power Pivot tab in the ribbon is available, as shown in the following image. I wouldn't be able to do my job without Ablebits! Managing data from two different systems and maintaining accuracy in planning conferences of 1000+ people is done efficiently and easily with Ablebits. I'm not all that technical and am able to find helpful shortcuts for cleaning up data for reporting and typesetting and all sorts of projects where accuracy is key. Julie Barie, 9-May-23 Fantastic program at a reasonable price

Just want to say that I LOVE your Ultimate Suite Excel add-on and would have quit my job had a colleague not recommended it to me. It has exceeded every expectation. I also want to give a shout out to someone named Ekaterina Pechyonkina, who was a tremendous help to me when I needed to migrate (same root word as migraine) from a desktop PC to a laptop. Please know that both your product and your people are making life better for those of us working with information. Thank you!! Steve Cameron , 25-Mar-22 Easy to use and share with my team But to this day, some Excel users never go beyond the basic totting and cross totting of rows and columns. Excel has come a long way since it was released. Every few years we see a new and improved version adding more and more capabilities. Power Pivot was the first power tool and it was released a few years before power query. Power Pivot had several options available for connecting to data. Today we kept things rather simple and connected to a linked table but having so many data sources available was the start of allowing Excel users mash up and analyse data from many different sources. And unlike excel, with these external data sources you are not limted to 1m rows. As power query has since been released, much of the connection options is now done via Power Query and not Power Pivot. Demonstrating Excel Power Tools – Power Query

If you have used macros to transform your data, you can think of this as a much easier alternative to VBA that does NOT require coding. Common Data Tasks Made Easy The data that you work on in Excel and in the Power Pivot window is stored in an analytical database inside the Excel workbook, and a powerful local engine loads, queries, and updates the data in that database. Because the data is in Excel, it is immediately available to PivotTables, PivotCharts, Power View, and other features in Excel that you use to aggregate and interact with data. All data presentation and interactivity are provided by Excel; and the data and Excel presentation objects are contained within the same workbook file. Power Pivot supports files up to 2GB in size and enables you to work with up to 4GB of data in memory. Saving to SharePoint

It is also known as Get & Transform, although the term Power Query is most common. Additional Resources But what is Business Intelligence without visualizations? Why spend hours poring over tables of data that you have prepared, when you can use visualizations to tell its story? Power View, the second power tool addition in 2013 will allow you do just that. It will allow you create interactive dashboards to visualize the data that you have. I consider myself a high-level Excel user and often find myself reaching the outer limits of what Excel is capable of without some convoluted workaround, VBA, or writing a Python program. In the first 30 minutes of using Ablebits, I have already found at least ten different tools that will save me hours each month. I work with a lot of complex and very messy datasets, and Merge Two Tables, Combine Sheets, Merge Duplicates, Split Table, Trim Spaces, Change Case, etc. will make my life SO much easier. I am a very satisfied customer. Bryant Phillips, 19-Feb-21 Your Ablebits are truly amazing Enjoy fast calculations and analysis Process millions of rows in about the same time as thousands, and make the most of multi-core processors and gigabytes of memory for fastest processing of calculations. Overcomes existing limitations for massive data analysis on the desktop with efficient compression algorithms to load even the biggest data sets into memory.Using VLOOKUP formulas is great, but it can often mean adding thousands of formulas to your workbook. Which increases the file size and calculation time.

Power Query has the ability to merge or join tables. This can be used as an alternative to VLOOKUP or INDEX/MATCH formulas. Excel's ease and flexibility have long made it a tool of choice for doing data analysis, but it does have some inherent limitations: for one, truly "big" data simply does not fit in a spreadsheet and for another, the process of importing and cleaning data can be a repetitive, time-consuming and error-prone. Over the last few years, Microsoft have worked on transforming the end-to-end experience for analysts, and Excel has undergone a major upgrade with the inclusion of Power Query and Power Pivot. This experience included enhanced data import functionality, rearranged commands on the Data tab, a new Queries & Connection side pane, and the continuing ability to shape data in powerful ways by sorting, changing data types, splitting columns, aggregating the data, and so on.You can think of Excel as the factory building that houses all these tools. The exciting part is that there is a very bright future for Excel! All these advances in technology will help us make sense of our data in new ways, save us time, and impress our bosses. 🙂 How Do I Get Power Query? I will add this process to our list for future posts and videos. We also have training on this in our Combine Data with Power Query Course, which is part of our Elevate Excel Training Program, if you want to get started right away. The following links and information can get you going with Power Pivot, including how to enable Power Query in Excel, how to get started using Power Pivot, then tutorials, and community connections. How do I get Power Pivot? It has been my experience that it is remarkably rare that software surprises the user by simply doing, beautifully and simply, precisely what you hope it will. The Ablebits Ultimate Suite add-in for Excel is such a software. It has become an indispensable part of how I manage large Excel data files. Jody Chafee, 18-Jul-23 Ablebits is a must-have Excel toolkit for everyone The integration of Get & Transform Data (now called Power Query), into Excel has gone through a number of changes over the years.

Data Analysis Expressions (DAX) DAX is a formula language that extends the data manipulation capabilities of Excel to enable more sophisticated and complex grouping, calculation, and analysis. The syntax of DAX formulas is very similar to that of Excel formulas. In October of 2019, we added the ability to refresh existing Power Query queries and to use VBA to create and edit new queries.Fortunately, Power Query has buttons that automate all these tasks! Overview of the Power Query Ribbon This new language and set of functions means there is a lot to learn, but I consider that the fun and challenging part. Plus, employers of the future will definitely be looking for employees with Power Query skills. Power Query Records Your Steps & Automates Processes Right now I'm running a free training webinar on all of the Power Tools in Excel. This includes Power Query, Power Pivot, Power BI, pivot tables, macros & VBA, and more. Once both queries are created, you can then do the Merge in one of the queries. Or create a new query that merges the two tables.
