Anyway, I’ve had a blast blogging for you guys. Thanks so much for listening to me rant and praise products. I loved reading your comments! Before I go, I’d like to give a special shout-out to a blogger: Ruthe Huang of Smile for the Little Things. She has one of the best attitudes I’ve ever encountered and is very enthusiastic about life. If you have time, give her a looksee – I’m sure she’ll appreciate it! 🙂 The price on the big bottle is just a tad too much! And the minis contained in this value set last a long time, so I’m glad I didn’t get the big bottle. Benefit Posietint Review The color of Posietint does run a bit cool, but I still think it’s quite wearable for all skin tones, as I liked the soft, natural pinking it gave my cheeks. It was just perfect for that barely-there-flush to match with barely-there makeup. The color of the box (pictured above) is very much the color of the product itself (but you can compare with the swatch, too). With summer nearing, I start reaching for creamy blushes, because I use them as a base. I layer a cream blush on my cheeks after foundation, then apply a powder blush or powder highlight to set the cream blush. I set my whole face by applying translucent loose powder, and I find my makeup gets me through even the hottest days. I also love a pop of bright turquoise at the outer corner for a fun, tropical look! Most of the MAC shadows I love best were limited edition, unfortunately (Parrot, Gulf Stream, Cool Heat) but there are a lot of great shades still out there, try Urban Decay’s Flipside! It is fragranced, which I don’t like. It smells like rosewater – good thing is that the scent doesn’t last.

Benefit High Beam itself is a soft peach color. Blended, it’s a light shimmery milky shade that highlights the skin for reflective glow. One great thing about Posietint is that you can build up the intensity of the stain, either on lips or on cheeks. Just keep layering and blending it onto cheeks (or lips!) to increase the color until you get to the level you desire. I’d say I like it more on cheeks than lips, but on lips it helps add more “natural” pink to my otherwise kind of muted-mauve-dead lips.

My Account

Want to intensify the color? No problem! Simply add a few more dots and blend until you achieve your desired level of pigment. Benetint is buildable, so you can dial up the intensity without looking like you’ve gone overboard. answered already. Comments alerting us to typos or small errors in the post are appreciated (!) but I always love the introduction of a pop of bright colour in your makeup to bring it from winter to spring. It gives that youthful glow to the face that we used have. After the winter months, your skin can be so dull and dry; it's just crying out for a change. Convinced there was a product out there I could master, I tested several brands over the course of three weeks. I searched for the most subtle color for daytime, examining staying power and ease of application. Almost all of the brands come in multiple shades, so rather than focus on specific colors, I judged texture, consistency, and sparkle. The best ones resembled something the Egyptians themselves would have liked, but thankfully, stained my hands less than beet juice ever would.

Posietint can be used for a variety of things. It's a cheek tint, lip tint, and eye tint. The colour gives a light rosy glow to the face, unlike a powder based blusher. You can apply in on a tinted moisturiser if you like the natural look or you can apply it over your foundation and powder on top to keep it even more subtle. If you hate the feeling of wearing something on your lips, but you always feel you need a bit of colour, something like this is ideal as it stains the lips and really stays put all day long. It’s in a creamier formula so that you can get precise application without it worrying about running. Unlike the blush tints, High Beam by Benefit gives you plenty of time to dillydally. It blends well even if you’ve left it on the skin for many seconds. You can use this underneath your brows, on the corners of your eyes, to highlight your cheekbones, and even dab a bit on your pout. Boy, are we glad that Elf Cosmetics has come to Ireland. The budget brand is really giving more expensive products a run for their moneyThe timing of when to blend is crucial. If you blend right away after applying it, it doesn’t tint the cheeks enough. But if you wait too long, then it’s really hard to blend because the product would have left a stain on your cheeks. In one of the swatches, I left it on for too long while I grabbed my camera and adjusted the zoom. I usually apply it, count to two, and then blend. Can be used on lips and cheeks.

First, Posietint comes in a container with an opaque coloring, and the bottle color is not the color of the product! To me, the bottle is a little peachy or coral, while the stain itself is definitely a blue-based pink. If you’re looking for a warmer color I would suggest looking elsewhere. The bright, girlish, pink gel blended in smoothly with no obvious glitter at first; as it dried, it went very golden. I liked it, but when I saw my husband, he said, “Did you just put on blush?” Anathema. I have dry skin, so powder blushes don’t work well on me. I’ve only tried 1 cream blush ( NARS Orgasm), which I like and does last longer. It’s expensive though! That’s why I’m loving my Benefit Posietint mini – the blush lasts me alllllllllll day. Yes, it’s faded a bit by the end, but I can still see it. Using the brush applicator, dot three small drops of Benetint on the apples of your cheeks. Don't forget to smile! We recommend applying one cheek at a time for best results. Then use your fingertips or a makeup brush to blend outward in circular motions. This will give you a sweet and natural-looking flush, just like a ripe strawberry.

Finally, I have to give a mention to a couple of my HG shadows: MAC Femme-fi (a limited edition, but was just re-released with the Sugarsweet collection, so you can find it now) is the best, soft gold I have found for my complexion! It is shimmery and lovely and looks amazing highlighting the inner corner or the browbone! Second, NARS Abyssinia single is a beautiful, light creamy pearl. It is perfect for an all-over base shade or, again, as a highlight on the browbone. It is also permanent (yay)! Benefit Posie Tint is one of those multi-use products that will just lift your skin and brighten up your look - and you know how I feel about multi-use products. I also adore blue-green tones in my eye makeup! One of my all-time favorites is the MAC PowerPoint eye pencil in Tealo! A gorgeous color, and their shadow in Plumage (a dark, matte teal) is perfect for setting it. For brighter turquoise liners, both Urban Decay and Make Up For Ever have wonderful choices! Two other lovely liners that work well with pale skin are Chanel’s eye pencil in Denim (a light, slightly steely blue — not sure on the availability of this, sorry) and Benefit’s Creaseless Creme shadow in Skinny Jeans used as a liner. We appreciate enthusiasm for new releases but ask readers to please hold questions regarding if/when

Summerproof makeup — stays on longer than powder blushes, less likely to budge/smear Have you tried Benefit’s Posietint? What did you think? Do you have a Sephora near you? They are very generous with samples as well! And yeah, I also have trouble blending on the cheeks, my best advice is just to start sheer and build! This post was written by Glosslizard, a Bay Area beauty enthusiast since the age of 14. When she isn’t taking care of her two sons, husband, three cats or her snake, you’ll find her gardening, practicing aikido, or drooling over the latest and greatest MAC and Chanel releases. Benefit Benetint is a thin liquid – it makes application a little difficult because it does run. I find that you have a bit more time with this as to when to blend. If left on too long without blending, it doesn’t stain the cheeks in one spot. The liquid sort of disperses itself onto your skin – almost like it’s auto blending. Lol. But I’d still blend with your fingers for more precise application. Can be used on lips and cheeks. Benefit Posietint is the more vibrant and pinker of the two blush tints. It’s awesome if you want a flush of pink that looks young and fresh. On the brush, the color looks mighty scary because it’s so in-your-face. When you apply it and blend, it looks quite sheer and soft. I like this because I don’t like super-pigmented blushes that make you look like a clown.
