Both are fully synthetic as far as i know, which is the big requirement for the 1.8T engine, as such i was wondering if i would benefit by using the LongLife III oil on the fixed schedule - or would this just be overcomplicating things for no real gains? oil is a popular engine oil for modern cars because it is adaptable to heat changes and is particularly good when it's cold outside. He responded by telling me that Quantum oil is of a poor quality and that id be better off using the Comma again - Wondered if anyone had any thoughts on this, as nearly everyone on here, UKMKIV's etc seem to unanimously recommend Quantum oil :S

Synthetic is the best option for an engine because it can be manufactured to a higher standard. This is the most expensive option, however, because it costs more to produce.
