Description

On the GFXBench graphics test, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 scored 1,461 frames on the Aztec Ruins (High Tier) off-screen benchmark, compared to 1,455 for the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and 1,657 frames for the iPhone 11 Pro. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold2 5G supports variety of networks for the users to enjoy at any location. With a simple switch, the users can go from one network to another depending on the strength of the network. The networks supported in Cover display: 6.23", Super AMOLED, 816 x 2260 pixels (25:9) which is enough to show optimal display.

So we’re torn. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 remains obnoxiously expensive for a smartphone – it costs as much as two Samsung Galaxy S20 phones if you fashion your own hinge (please... don’t actually attempt that). Yet it fixes most of the first-gen limitations we complained about, courtesy of its larger Cover Display and improved durability. It has the features we wanted at a price no one asked for. The new Hideaway Hinge brings Flex Mode to the Galaxy Z Fold 2, a feature that enables customers to get the most out of the device. Its durability has also been improved. Samsung will allow buyers to customize the color of the Hideaway Hinge to add a dash of their own personality to the device. The front display on the Galaxy Z Fold 2 alone is a huge upgrade. I also really like Flex Mode and the versatility that gives this phone. Being able to prop up the device at various angles really makes the Z Fold 2 feel like a brand new type of device. And while the Mult-Active window multitasking requires a bit of a learning curve, it maximizes productivity.

Thanks to a ton of improvements, the Galaxy Z Fold 2 is the best foldable phone yet and a productivity powerhouse

Both the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra and the Galaxy Z Fold 2 have 4500 mAh batteries, which isn’t that big by modern standards. Especially not given the size of these displays. Anecdotally, the battery life on the Z Fold 2 is pretty solid. I started using the phone at 10 am and after a day of heavy usage it had about 18% juice left at 10 pm. As expected, the battery life dropped on the Z Fold 2 with the display set to 120Hz (adaptive), with the phone lasting 9 hours and 5 minutes.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 is the leader in this still niche market. It's truly future-proof, not only with that mighty 7.2-inch QXGA+ 120Hz fold out inner screen but also another 6.2-inch front screen and all the speed of 5G connectivity. You also get a triple rear camera with a 12MP + 12MP + 12MP setup and a dual front camera system with 10MP + 10MP lenses. Bigger front display makes a huge difference: The cover display has grown to 6.2 inches, which means you don’t have to use the internal display to get stuff done. The exterior screen is narrower than typical phones, though. Samsung has equipped it with a larger 6.2-inch cover display which is certainly much better to use compared to its predecessor. The internal display has also been increased to 7.6-inches and not only that, it also gets 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. Samsung has done away with all display notches in favor of an Infinity-O punch hole so that the bezel sizes could be reduced. That said you may be able to find some great prices on the older Fold now that the new model is here, but it has numerous issues that the Fold 2 fixes, and is no longer sold officially. Samsung Pay (Visa, MasterCard certified) option through you can get accessibility to different networks. This Phone comes with popular color options by i.e.But similarities with the Note 20 design stop there. Samsung shifts the fingerprint sensor from in-screen to the side-mounted power button, which makes sense, and doesn’t include an S Pen, even though a stylus would be fitting for a spacious 7.6-inch display. This is a big, but still just about manageable, phone at 164.8 x 77.2 x 8.1mm. At 208g, it’s heavy, but again far more easy to wield than other super-phones. Its pronounced camera module seemed extremely in-your-face at the time, but seems almost restrained by modern standards, thanks in large part to the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. It only adds to that industrial-chic look. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 is one of the fastest Android smartphones in 2020, mirroring what we experienced from the US version of the Note 20 Ultra, which uses the same chipset as all versions of the Fold 2: Qualcomm’s top-of-the-line Snapdragon 865 Plus.

As it is, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra continues to remain relevant thanks to this exclusive inclusion. The housing mechanism is as elegant as they come, while the functionality is more powerful than ever. The interior display is also bigger at 7.6 inches for the Galaxy Z Fold 2, compared to 7.3 inches for the previous model. Even better, the ugly notch on the main screen is gone, replaced by a small cutout for a selfie camera. There’s actually extra screen real estate here that the official screen specs don’t show. Gone is the Fold 1’s oversized cutout in the top-right corner along with its second ‘depth’ camera. The single front camera is housed in a small display punch-hole, and dropping from two inside cameras to just one didn’t make a difference to our portrait photos (Samsung is presumably using software to distinguish depth). The Galaxy Z Fold 2 sports a Snapdragon 865 Plus processor along with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage (UFS3.1). So we would expect similar performance to the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.Overall, the Z Fold 2 offers smooth performance, but I noticed minor software glitches at times. The YouTube app view didn't change I switched screen modes at one point, but restarting the app resolved the problem.
