Isabelle introduces herself to Brandon but before he can answer Alex yells across the office telling Brandon he wanted the paper work and now. Alex wanted a blonde agent as they have only seen him with blondes over the last couple of months, seeing Isabelle is a brunette he yells at someone else, telling Isabella that she is not here for her brains but as eye candy for Isaac. All goes well until things start to get messy with her past crossing into his business dealings. He doesn’t enjoy working with mob bosses but does so to stay safe, and he is anything but thrilled when he discovers that Izzy is now on the crazy mob boss Col Petretti’s radar. “Col is one of the most ruthless, cold-hearted men I’ve ever met in my life, and I’ve met a lot of unscrupulous people the past few years.”

Any guy who tells you he is carrying a condom in his wallet in case of an emergency is full of shit. We only put a condom in our wallet with the full intention of using it the night we put it in there.” There was a lot of mystery and action in this series that keeps you engrossed. Additionally there's a lot of HOT sex which is very well written (if a little unbelievable, but hey...we can dream, right ladies?). On her way to her first posting as an FBI agent, Isabelle literally runs into the hottest guy she’s ever seen at the airport. After he helps her up off the floor they part, but guess what?! He’s seated next to her on her flight! They banter and flirt and he asks her to meet him at his club the next night. Isabelle learns that her first case is investigating this very same stranger! Do you think she disclosed to her boss they had met? No. But as fate would have it, on her first weekend off of work she runs into him again while drunk at nightclub! He takes her home after she passes out. Determined to stay away from him because of the conflict of interest she “skedaddles”. Oh but she runs into him again at a restaurant while out with a friend, and they all end up sharing a booth. Like, what are the odds?! The irony isn't lost on me that I have been yammering on about loving a detailed story but this was just too much. Especially because Isabelle is a snivelling mess who should not call herself an FBI anything. Not even an office attendant.Isaac and Izzy are still our main characters that we are following, but we see a lot of the same supporting people too, like Isaacs right hand man, Hugo, amongst others. Just when Isaac thought he and Izzy were in the clear for the most part and able to focus on a relationship things blow up. Izzy is arrested and being framed for murder. “I knew something wasn’t right when the heaviness that has been plaguing my chest the past week amplified. But I never expected it to be something as mammoth as this. The beautiful, kind-hearted, never says a bad word about anyone, Isabelle has been arrested for murder. You think I would have recognized the signs. The protectiveness she displayed earlier today when I said I didn’t need her to protect me. Her bold statement about not being able to breathe without me in her life. The fact that she allowed her hands to become stained to help my family. They were all signs I should have been watching for. Isabelle’s possessiveness of me is just as paramount as my protectiveness of her. I would do anything in my power to protect her, anything at all. Obviously, Isabelle, fells the same way about me.” Now, Elle I do love her character and I shouldn't be so hard on her weakness because yeah, Isaac can turn me the hell on, so out in the real world I'd probably behave as she does. One huge surprise concerning her, for me was who and what her Father is I love that although the characters evolved and developed over the story they never changed completely they just became better versions of themselves.

I absolutely adored every single book in this series! I hung off every single word! Isaac is just so yummy it’s untrue!! Isaac and Izzy are not only in a fight for her freedom on murder charges but they are also in for a fight of their life for their relationship. With the evidence against Izzy looking more like planted evidence Regan is now sure she can get Izzy off the murder charges but that will have to wait until it goes to court for the judge to decide. Until he judge makes his ruling there is nothing Isaac and Izzy can do but wait. However with the one single indiscretion Isaac has had since he and Izzy became a couple hanging over his head he is in a mess and everything is worthless to him if he doesn’t have Izzy in his life. I won’t,” he breathes out with a relieved sigh. “I’ll tell her you’re indisposed or some shit. She loves me, so she’ll believe me.”The characters were annoying and the writing accentuated this by trying to use language and expressions that didn’t work or were just completely wrong. Plus everyone is constantly groaning and moaning and it’s weird. As the story unfolds, the storyline flows from one book into the next- taking us on a truly incredible journey with characters that will capture your heart and mind. I have spent quite a lot of time reflecting on how to do this boxed set real justice- how do I write a review that will convey just how amazing these books are and give you an idea of the story, without giving away any spoilers. I could go into more detail about what each book is about, but I think that gives away too much and you are better off not knowing too many details and just immersing yourself in the stories.
