Description

The book, titled World of Warcraft: War of the Scaleborn, is written by novelist and comics writer Courtney Alameda. Expanding on the lore and stories of the dragonflights, this prequel novel will cover some of the war of the dragons and its subsequent impact on the dragonflights and on the Dragon Isles. And we should not have to pay extra for lore that should be in the Game in the first place. That is one of the biggest weaknesses of WoW. you need to buy extra content to even know what is going on or what the motivations for the main bad guys truly are.

Minutes passed, stretching longer. The sun changed its slant. Just as Vyranoth considered taking her leave, an oblong-shaped light flared at the top of the staircase in the middle of the room. Vyranoth had seen the blue dragonflight creating similar magical rifts before—she believed they called them portals. Keeper Tyr emerged from the light, followed closely by Alexstrasza.Adult dragons are the most protected class of dragons their is, so long as they have convincingly demonstrated their ability to maturely grant or deny their own consent. This conflict is afforded another level of complexity because the dragons themselves are being meddled with. Titans, Old Gods, and the elements - through Iridikron - are are all inserting their will into the evolution of a species. Very interesting to see Vyranoth on the cover facing Alexstrasza. Looks like they're trying to set her and Alexstrasza up as being close (as clutch mates) who tried to avoid a full fight between both sides. Wonder if this is setting her up as seeing some benefits to the Titans and Alexstrasza and company learning that there were downsides of the Titans that were legitimate issues for the Incarnates. Comment by Papastrunf on 2023-06-14T12:27:07-05:00 It would be nice if major books lore books like this was released before an expansion . So there's a lil bit more context for why the baddies are bad and makes discoveries in game more excitable . Comment by Garlakk on 2023-06-13T14:21:51-05:00

You are following unknown winds, my friend, and I worry for you,” Vyranoth said. “You are the most honorable of our kind, Alexstrasza. I loved you as you were, and it pains me to see you bow, to change yourself for another. From where I stand—admittedly, on the outside—I fear the keepers seek to exert control over you and your flights.” If you have something to say to me, please continue.” Alexstrasza used a hint of that same diplomatic, queenly tone she had used with the keeper. “You have always been my most honest and straightforward of friends, Vyranoth. You know you can be true with me.”The worst books have important lore events happen in the current time period, without being represented or referenced ingame. Like Garrosh' trial and escape. Or answer questions of massive plot points Blizzard has been deliberately withholding for 4 years. Such as the motivations of Sylvanas and how the Jailer tempted her. Having to wait for 4 years, and then buy a book, to learn why Teldrassil burned, is bad. But I'd say this book is likely to be more along the lines of the Arthas book. Or the ones that dive into the Rise of the Horde. You know the important bones of the story. A book can flesh it out. Thats true for a curated series made by a writer. Not a franchise run by multiple people with books spread out as anthologies. He is also the first one to ascend of the primal incarnates. Iridikron is the second. Razsageth is the third.
