Do I need to replace the entire section?’ The answer is no, so long as you are able to weld in situa (being able to weld or clamp the flexi whilst it’s on the vehicle) or are able to remove the factory exhaust section off the vehicle to be able to carry the work out on a work bench. Our Stainless 304 Exhaust Flexi are different to others, simply because our flexibles are 100% stainless steel. What you will find with some suppliers is that the flexi itself is stainless but the ends are mild steel, which as a result with only rust away eventually. On some vehicles, manufacturers place the flexi section immediately before/after a catalytic converter or a DPF. These particular flexibles have to be replaced with a WELD ON flexi as there is no pipe to clamp on to. However, if your car has a flexible with enough straight pipe on each side, you can easily cut the old broken flexible and replace it with one of our CLAMP ON flexi joints.
