Description

draw; Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver, Undead Augur, Midnight Reaper, Spark Reaper, Corpse Augur, Forgotten Creation, Eloise, Nephalia Sleuth, Hordewing Skaab, Drown in Dreams, Distant Melody Coven Counters is all about one of Midnight Hunt’s new set mechanics: coven. Cards with coven grant you a bonus ability if you control three or more creatures with different powers. With this in mind you’ll want to run as many creatures as possible to maximize your chances of having coven active at any given time. If you want to report a bug, go ahead, post a comment. If it's a full on crashlog, provide a pastebin.com link in a comment. A full crashlog in the comments just takes unnecessary space and will be ignored. The Eater can be regenerated by a sacrifice on the one hand, on the other hand, it can destroy a target creature with 2Bk and two other sacrificed creatures. This goes hand in hand with Endless Ranks of the Dead, which creates X Zombie tokens each turn at the start of its own upkeep, where X is half of the Zombies controlled.

Speaking of, let’s just jump into it. The lands that come in the precon are fine, for the most part. My biggest issue with them is that there are forty. That’s probably 2-4 too many. Most of the utility lands are decent, but you can cut some basics and/or lands that enter the battlefield tapped. With the latter, if you still control the commander, another player mills additional cards. Compared to cards like Blue Sun’s Zenith or Stroke of Genius, this is a good alternative in the Commander format.Grave Metal - a material used for most recipes in the mod. Vanilla skeletons will often wear basic weapons and armor from this material except for the helmet which is exclusive to Frenzied Knights and cannot be crafted. Grave metal scraps can be dropped from Skeletons or Grave Soil and are used to craft ingots. A Grave Metal Scrap and be smelted into an Iron Nugget making Iron more renewable. Perhaps this will be a sort of an alternative to the infamous iron farms, please let's stop the Iron Golem genocide :( There aren’t any new cards in the set that have Affinity, nor are Artifacts a very prominent theme on Innistrad. However, The Celestus is a handy artifact if you want to throw it in. What to Take Out This lets all players mill three cards at the start of each upkeep, one of which can be removed from play, after which the Kin becomes a copy of that card. Enchantments I played with a proxy Diabolic Intent, Diabolic Tutor, Sidsi, Undead Vizer. I think there’s also a card that lets you find a zombie, but idk. Also added Liliana Heretical Healer and The Last Hope, as well as curses that give me more zombies. Ghouls just want to have fun I guess. It’s an ice fun card, potentially pretty good but also potentially kind of meh, the most likely piece you’d get would be utility creatures, but even though, 5 to get 3 zombie ETBs for 5 mana that are also somehow other useful creatures is pretty good.

A disturbing spirit depraved of it's host. Whenever you slay a "humanoid" creature (ex. Zombie, Skeleton, Villager, Illager, Piglin, Flamebreather or Frenzied Knight) there's a small chance for a Haunter to spawn. They can alsoappear naturally, but only in Soul Sand Valleys in the Nether. Commonly slow, Haunters gain a significant speed boost when hit. They can inflict Slownesson their prey.Like most undead, Haunters burn in sunlight. Surprisingly, Midnight Hunt even came with a few toys for the Investigators out there. There aren’t many, but you still might consider running the ones there are: You might be worried, that you’ll play too many lands and draw too many of them. That’s why you also want some utility lands, which have other effects besides simply making mana. Some examples include: For a complete upgrade you’ll probably want to use cards from both sections, since just because a card is cheap, that doesn’t mean that it is weak. The last two additional cards are both mythic: Avacyn's Memorial and Lynde, Cheerful Tormentor. [6] Cardlists [ | ] Coven Counters [ | ] “ The only real stinker here is Unclaimed Territory. It's not the worst because it can always tap for colorless, but we don't have such a high Zombie count that it will regularly mana-fix and we'd be better off cutting it or replacing it for a basic land. Gravecrawler is a nice one drop, which you’ll be able to play from your graveyard most of the time. You be able to use it for your sacrifice outlets, and it’s a payoff for any card that cares about cards being cast from your graveyard. A lot of value for a single mana. Another option you might consider is Hostile Hostel. It takes time to make it work, but its a sac outlet on a land, which is never bad.

Our combos will either be using Wilhelt or Rooftop Storm. With Wilhelt and Poppet Factory in play, our tokens will not have decayed, which allows us to do an infinite loop with Altar of Dementia, milling our opponents out. When we sacrifice a Zombie token, Wilhelt will give us another.

Reaping Scythe- rarely dropped by Wraiths is used to harvest Soul Remnants from slain creatures. It has high damage, but is a little slower than a sword. Can be repaired with Grave Metal Ingots.

Aristocrats (5-9) Recommended Commander: Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver Undead Unleashed is a little bit more nuanced than Coven Counters, and I like it. Zombie fanatics will be pleased to see Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver, an interesting commander that opens the door to all sorts of combo synergies out there. removal; Fleshbag Marauder, Ravenous Rotbelly, Ruthless Deathfang, Butcher of Malakir, Eater of Hope, Overseer of the Damned, Dark Salvation, Syphon Flesh, Feed the Swarm, Go for the Throat When they are not, though, I still feel it is important to mention the expensive cards. Who knows, maybe those expensive cards will inspire you to build a certain way, even if they are outside your price range. mana;40 lands and Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, Charcoal Diamond, Sky Diamond, Talisman of Dominance, Commander's Sphere, Crowded Crypt, Rooftop StormWilhelt Zombies vol 11 more Budget Wilhelt Zombies vol 11 more Budget Wilhelt Zombies vol 11 more Budget Powerful and varied synergies between the cards. A decent number of good tutors. Good mana curve. Has an efficient and consistent way to win on turns 10-12 (level 7) or 7-9 (level 8). Some social rules — like no mass land destruction, no consistent combo wins — still exist. Demon Horn - a horn of a Flamebreather, gathered by slaying one. Used for crafting Bone Meal or a Trident, will get more uses in the future. Undead Unleashed is all about zombies and sacrifice effects. The idea is to have cards like Undead Augur in play when you sacrifice your creatures. You also have token-generating effects like Army of the Damned to provide you with enough expendable creatures to sacrifice.
