It is not recommended to use chemical bleach after using this dye unless it has faded or grown out. This is because bleach will not remove indigo so you may be left with a bluish colour. This henna is Body Art quality and excellent for colouring hair as it is more finely sifted it has a smoother less gritty texture. On very light coloured or grey hair the colour sometimes appears to have a green tinge at first, but don’t panic - this will fade gradually over a few hours or days, as the dye oxidises, and the colour deepens. DO NOT USE - You must either mix it with a red (henna) based colour, or dye your hair first with a brown or red shade.

If your hair has been chemically lightened, it will affect the colour result. - Chemical lighteners make your hair more porous and thus absorb the colour less predictably. There may be slight variations in colour result between different batches of Herbal Hair Colour. - The botanical ingredients can be affected by varying climatic conditions from harvest to harvest. On very light-coloured or light grey hair it sometimes appears to have a green tinge at first, but don’t panic - this will fade gradually over a few hours or days, as the dye oxidises and the colour deepens. It’s Pure Henna Red hair dye is entirely natural and the final result depends on your initial hair colour. The colour will be unique to you. Unlike synthetic hair dyes that chemically change the structure of your hair, this plant-based colour is non-invasive, gently coating your hair shaft with a semi-transparent, semi permanent layer of colour. The final shade will partly depend on the colour of your hair underneath; it will be lighter where your initial hair colour is light and darker where your initial hair colour is dark.

It is not recommended to use chemical bleach on your hair after using this dye, unless it has faded or grown out. This is because bleach will not remove the indigo element of the dye, so you may possibly be left with a bluish colour. If you do want to try bleaching, please strand test first. Leaving the paste on for a longer time will make the colour stronger. If you want a deeper colour, you can also build up the colour with a second application. The Soil Association. 100% organic, It's Pure Organics hair dye is free from PPD, ammonia and peroxide, There may be slight variations in colour result between different batches of Herbal Hair Colour. – Henna can be affected by varying climatic conditions from year to year. Indigo tinctoria (indigo) powder, Lawsonia inermis (henna) powder, Cassia auriculata (cassia) powder, Emblica officinalis (amla) powder. On white/grey hair this Henna Red shade is likely to be an orange-copper colour. On dark blonde to light brown it is likely to be a beautiful rich auburn redhead shade. On medium brown hair it is likely to be a rich red/brown shade. On darker brown hair it is not likely to be a strong red but more of red undertone especially in strong light. If your hair is a salt-and-pepper mix of brown and white, then the overall effect will average out, with brown hair going an auburn or warm brown shade and white hair going a coppery orange shade. It's important to remember that henna hair colour works with your natural hair colour, so exact results vary dependant on your existing colour.

The colour is also affected by how long you leave the paste on. If you leave the paste on for 1 hour it will be a lot lighter than if you leave it on for 3 hours. When you first wash out the dye it will often not be the full depth of colour but will gradually deepen to its true colour as the dye oxidises with the air.

The true colour takes a few hours to develop. When you first wash out the dye it will often not be the full depth of colour, but it will gradually darken to its true colour. Like a cut apple - at first the apple is white and then as it oxidises in the air it goes brown. Henna will generally give brown hair red/brown undertones. Henna will give light coloured hair - grey, white or blonde a more orange/red tone. Indigofera Tinctoria (Indigo) Powder, Lawsonia Inermis (Henna) Powder, Emblica Officinalis (Amla) Powder, Azhadiracta indica (Neem) Powder.
