Over the years we’ve upgraded most all of our Ikea furniture for pieces that are well made and will last for years to come but we still own two nightstands from Ikea. Vikhammer is a center of tourism each summer, with many German and Swedish camping tourists who camp at Vikhammer Camping. Tourists come to see the fjords for which Norway is famous. Locally, the salmon fishing is also a popular tourist activity. The European route E6 highway runs just south of the village. The Vikhammer Station on the Nordland Line is located in the village. Malvik Church is located just east of the village. This beautiful Moroccan wedding blanket is made using the IKEA Gurli blanket. With the addition of lace, sequins and ribbon it is turned into the most beautiful piece for your bedroom. Using a cardboard template, pre-drill holes to attach drawer pull. If desired, spray paint drawer pull to match nightstand legs and allow to dry completely before screwing pull onto the drawer. You can either use it as a wall hanging behind your bed, or use it as a bedspread. There is some sewing involved, but it is pretty easy and would be ok for a beginner. They need to be lovely and beautiful so that we can sleep easier, and enjoy just hanging out in them!

With the simple addition of a little bit of wood, some spray paint, and a couple drawer pulls, it was super easy to customize the nightstands to blend in with our modern farmhouse style. Once the adhesive has completely dried, remove clamps and apply sealant if desired. We chose to use Minwax Polycrylic in a Satin finish here. If you want enough space for bedside lamps, candles, plants or other decorative items – then you should be looking at bigger bedside tables with larger surface areas and maybe even storage space beneath. Bedside cabinets have small cupboards or drawers where you can store additional items out of sight. So obviously with a new bed frame I looked forward to (finally!) having matching nightstands. We’ve been using a couple hand-me-down mismatched nightstands since we got married more than a decade ago. Neither was much our style, but they were free and in good condition.

There is also a park in Vikhammer called "Vikhov park" which got its name because the Vikings had their houses in that area. The addition of a mirror on the wall, or on the top of the Ekby unit itself will add the finishing touches to your vanity table!Using clamps, position and then secure the edge glued board to the top of the nightstand and allow to dry for 24-48 hours. Be sure not to over-tighten the clamps or you’ll risk damaging the wood. Just to be safe, we recommend placing a cloth over the edge-glued board, followed by a scrap piece of wood and then applying the clamps.
