Description

Whilst some recipes in this book do use onion, as I can’t tolerate it myself, you’ll find that those recipes always have an easy substitute.

Make your appointment...if you dare, with The Demon Dentist in this hilarious novel and help investigate who is leaving disgusting slugs under children's pillows at night... And finally, delve into the heartfelt but hilarious hoot of an adventure in Awful Auntie whenAunt Alberta and her giant owl will stop at nothing to get to Stella's heir to Saxby Hall! If you’re dairy-free, lactose-intolerant, low FODMAP, vegetarian or vegan, there’s a TON of tips on how to adapt my recipes to be friendly to all of the above, if possible. I always want my recipes to be as accessible to as many people as possible! The dinner starts when the first star appears in the sky – that explains why all the children have their noses pressed against the window glass!

Diaries & Calendars

I feel that, in the current climate, this question couldn’t be more relevant! So here’s my hard sell: What: A breakout star in the cookbook world, Lara Lee’s recipes riff on Indonesian flavours, through the lens of approachable everyday recipes that you just want to eat. A Splash of Soy takes this a step further with delicious everyday recipes like cheesy kimchi linguine with gochujang butter, and sambal patatas bravas, with pantry and vegan swaps included too. The intro chapter contains ‘real life’ guides to surviving Christmas on a gluten-free diet.As some of you might know already, the festive period presents its own unique challenges for us gluten-free folks… fortunately I’ve learned a TON of important lessons over the last decade and documented my best tips and advice; hopefully to ensure you don’t have to learn those lessons the hard way like I did!

Good book for: Christmas lovers, first time Christmas dinner cooks and experienced home chefs looking for some twists on traditional favourites. Even with the few recipes which don’t provide a veggie or vegan option, they can still usually easily be adapted to be so using the right gluten-free and vegan alternative – so please don’t think it’s impossible! Does the book have low FODMAP recipes in it? What about lactose-free? That wasn’t so bad was it? I’m sure you want to buy 10 copies now! Does the book have dairy-free recipes in it? In every home you will see an extra seat prepared by the table, intended for an unexpected guest. This beautiful tradition is the quintessence of Polish hospitality, and it serves as a reminder to think about those in need.

More in Books

Don’t forget about these! (A complete list of other recipes that would be perfect for Christmas that you’ll find in my other books) One of the main reasons I wrote a Christmas book is because I wanted to ensure that no gluten-free person ever has a Christmas that was as stressful and deflating as my first.I couldn’t eat a single thing, I felt like I was an inconvenience to everyone and I somehow ended up getting glutened, spending the rest of the day in pain.

What: Finally a cookbook from the wildly popular BAO, which has grown from humble street food stall to the first and last word in pillowy bao buns, delicious noodles and more. The book weaves together all the classic dishes and drinks from the restaurants, alongside their signature playful art styling. A must-own. As lactose-free is a big part of the low FODMAP diet, you’ll also find that lots of the recipes indicate whether they’re lactose-free or low lactose, or how to adapt the recipes to be suitable too. And yet another HUGE thank you to everyone who’s supported me so far! What: Imad Al Arnab ran his own restaurant in Damascus, before war forced him to leave his home behind. Not only does Imad’s Syrian Kitchen document the incredible story of how he found his way to Britain as a refugee, it also records 90 riotous recipes that have made his London restaurant so beloved. Yes! I’ve clearly labelled whenever a recipe is suitable for vegetarians or vegans. If it isn’t veggie/vegan to start with, I’ve also included instructions on how to adapt it, if possible – which most of them are! Buy now: Ikoyi: A Journey Through Bold Heat with Recipes Mother Tongue: Flavours of a Second GenerationThis book is around 60% savoury recipes, 40% desserts and bakes.
