Board Features

The BlueFin Cruise 12 comes with a fiberglass paddle with an adjustable length of a maximum of 2.15 meters. Almost everyone can use this paddle as it’s suitable for people up to 1.95 meters tall. You can even dismantle the paddle into three separate parts for easier storing and handling. Bluefin Cruise Carbon kayak seat: The kayak seat can be attached to four D-rings in the middle of the board. This turns the paddle boarding into a kayak in no time. BlueFin recommends that people who are over 6’ tall and more than 85 kg should get this 12’ model, but that doesn’t mean other people can’t. People who are under 6’ and below 85 kg may choose to opt for the 10’8 model, though, to save money. The regular Bluefin Cruise only includes a fiberglass paddle, which isn’t bad either, but can’t compete with a carbon paddle. Other manufacturers, on the other hand, only include aluminum paddles, which are sufficient for the beginning, but due to the high weight and poor workmanship is later replaced by many paddlers. With 14 D-rings, you have plenty of options for attaching your SUP accessories to, whether it be a dry bag or other clip on case to the waterproof phone bag included with every board. These D-rings are also high quality, and large enough to support many of the popular and common SUP accessories out there on the market. Beyond the D-rings, there is also an action mount on the nose, which is compatible with GoPro camera mounts, Bluetooth Speaker mounts, and other popular electronic mounts. If you have accessories, you’ll find a good place to put them on the 12’ Cruise Carbon.

The Bluefin Cruise Carbon boards are in the higher range with a weight of 15.6 kilograms and 19 kilograms respectively. The higher weight comes from the extra carbon layer and extra reinforcement on the side edges. Extra weight is the price you pay for more stiffness. Here the boards differ clearly from each other.
