It demands all of your attention, but believe me, it's worth it. Elliot makes you think about how much you can leave behind, whether it's a hometown or a secret past. Can you force yourself to forget? Are scars, no matter how healed on the surface, ever present, ever able to reopen? How much does this impact who you are and who you become?

Not a ton, but there are a few—notably, Sex Like Real. In Sleep Sister, Elliot seems to keep adding string after string, so many that you wonder if all of them can be tied together effectively. One thing you should know: trust her. She will show you why these strings are necessary. Beth and Sara have never been too terribly close. In my opinion, even as children, they never seemed particularly fond of each other. Beth, the older of the two children, is harboring a very dark secret. One night, now a teenager, she decides that she has had about all she could stand (of this secret) and runs away from home. She flees to find her biological father, whom she always shared a very close bond. Their father left the girls and his wife for another woman several years prior. Sara, feeling betrayed by her sister and "left behind" at home with her temperamental mother, cuts off ties with Beth. She gives her big sis the ole cold shoulder treatment. From Irish step dancing to pervy pedophiliac uncles, crazy alcoholic parents to narcissistic boyfriends, crooked politicians, and the Anaskeagh Mafia....would just be naming a few star attractions. This all takes place in Ireland, also....so it was great fun to read this in a wee bit of an Irish accent. Well, there is some exposure right there. I don't know if that was the beginning of other things happening to her or not. If you ask her she might tell you of other things happened that she remembers.

At this point, my sister would still be completely unsuspecting of what was about to happen. She was usually just staring at the ceiling, minding her own thoughts, probably thinking about rainbows and sheep. But while Eva is drawing closer to the truth about her roots, Beth and Sara’s lives are falling apart, crushed under the weight of the secret they carry. They must confront the past and face the darkness once more. But this time, their story will be heard. Eva’s birth is a mystery that remains unsolved. Years later with her marriage in ruins, and her future uncertain, she realizes that to move forward with her life, she must first understand her past.

Having sang all of her praises, this was not my favorite Laura Elliot offering. It was a good storyline and the characters were all relatable. I really felt for Beth. I wanted to slap her mother. I wanted to murder her uncle. But I never felt like I really knew or understood Sara. So her childhood, her marriage, her missing daughter and her suicide felt more like something that I was being told about than something that was happening. I keep re-reading that sentence and I feel like it doesn't make sense, but hopefully a reader will get what I'm saying. When Beth left her mother, sister, and hometown to move in with her father and his lady friend, she did not cut ties as decisively as you would expect. For all of her mother's disgust with this choice, Beth's roots are too deep for her to completely revoke her hometown. The exact cause of sleepwalking is unknown, but it seems to run in families. You're more likely to sleepwalk if other members of your close family have or had sleepwalking behaviours or night terrors. POV– POV stands for “point of view” and is thus an important term for porn because it shapes your whole perspective. Much porn caters to the male gaze and so there will be a camera from the male performer’s perspective, which helps male viewers feel like they are the one in the video. Don’t be afraid to take a little time before you invest your money into a subscription, particularly an annual or lifetime one. What I Say.....It's no secret that Laura Elliot is one of my favorite authors. I love her stories of dysfunctional families and their relationships with each other and the world around them.
