Lastly, I know this is a series featuring different couples in each book, but I felt like there were some loose ends that could have been resolved more clearly. I would have loved to get more information on how her brother Ryan dealt with her ex (and also Ryan’s teammate) after finding out what actually happened that caused them to break up. It drove a little bit of a wedge between them because Maya was scared to tell her brother in fear that he would side with his friend. We got a hint that Ryan beat him up, but there wasn’t much of a discussion about it when he and Maya worked out their issues. With Johnny breaking in, showing up at the club Maya was at, and calling her, I thought he would pose more of a problem in the story but it sort of just disappeared. I also felt like the last chapter was a little strange. I thought it was going to lead to a proposal but it didn’t, so now I’m not clear on whether the announcer accidentally called her his fiancée or if it was intentional?

They seemed like such an odd pairing but they fit together so perfectly, the way their relationship progressed was amazing, I loved their vulnerable moments but i also loved how much banter they had between one another. Theos best friend & teammate - Alex, steps in when hearing Lainey in a spot of trouble. Claiming her as his girlfriend so everyone leaves her alone. Before bedtime: Many people find that reading before bedtime helps them unwind and relax, which can promote better sleep. All in all, Veronica Eden put her heart, soul, skills, and tears into this book and couple because everything was chef's kiss! The characters in the story are simple but relatable and this is such an amazing book. Made readers’ cry, laugh, happy and excited readers got the chills so many times toward the end of this book. It completely blew reader’s mind. It managed to surpass high expectations of the reader. The world-building is so fully fleshed out and amazing that it’s almost as if author traveled to such a place, escaped from it, and then just wrote it all down. And of course! Easton Blake!! Sweet Jesus! This guy! Ohhh. BOY DID HE WAS OBSESSED WITH MAYA !!! From the first time to last, HIS EYES ONLY GOES FOR HER, The way he always told her, Easton's never met a challenge he wouldn't accept. He makes it clear he won't be iced out without convincing me to give him a chance.

EASTON BLAKE has definitely made it to the favourite book boyfriends' list.Alex is a man that would scream from the rooftops how much he cares about Lainey; fake or not…he’s just a fantastic, devoted, and best loving boyfriend who does everything for her, including buying books, defending her, and helping to boost her confidence by making her feel beautiful. Lainey is shy and a romantic book lover to her core. She just shines throughout this story as she makes important friendships, cherishes what she believes in, and soon finds herself in her own romance novel. These two were everything, and they left me with the biggest smile on my face. My only complaint is that I wish they had a full book because, while I loved Iced Out, I loved this prequel a little more. I didn't know we had book 2 out, and I jumped on this! It was a great book!
