Salming's Hawk Court are Salming entry level shoe in terms of price point. Even though they are a more value priced model they still offer good performance in a very durable design ... Another benefit of the sole of the Salming Hawk is that stabilizers on the outside and on the inside reach much higher, protecting the shoe from excess wear. This is a big plus especially for players like myself who tend to drag the other leg behind me as I take a big step to get to the ball. In this way, I´ve managed to wear out many pairs of shoes far too soon.

If you’re looking for your first pair of ‘proper’ squash shows, promise us one thing? Avoid the Hi-Tec squash shoes. These are straight out of the 80s – heavy, flat footed, uncomfortable and fall far behind their modern counterparts. I don’t like to slate products, but I see so many new players in these shoes who inevitably buy a different pair two weeks later. We weren’t sure what to expect when these shoes first hit the market. For anyone familiar with the older Adidas Stabil X, these were a big move away from their old design. However, testing these shoes out turned out to be a really pleasant surprise.

They also had the Salming Race R2, which was a similar design but a bit less expensive: Salming Squash Shoes Links The Salming Kobra 2 are designed with lateral support in mind. The Kobra 2 are designed for the serious athlete that wants performance, lateral support and good cushioning ... The Adder first launched in summer 2016 with these designs: Salming Squash Shoes 2015 and Prior Salming Viper

T.G.S 62/75™ - The distance from heel to the ball of foot (62% of the shoe) has been designed with extra stability, which ends in the so-called “ballet” line, a 75° angle. In front of the 75° line, we have equipped the shoe with greater flexibility to stimulate the foot’s natural movements. The TGS 62/75° feature assures that the shoe bends in exactly the right places, stimulating the foot’s natural lateral and forward movements. The ExoSkeleton inner cage is connected to the lacing system and offers excellent support. The HexaGrip outsole featuring two LMSplus 8°areas allows for stability during multidirectional movements. The new midsole Recoil ERF - Energy Rebound Foam - with its added offset cushioning heel area (SoftFOAM) provide energy return and comfort in every step. RollBar™- An increased radius on the inner side of the outer sole, facilitates rolling the foot inwards and toe push off. Reaching for a distant ball is made easier with the Roll¬Bar™ technology. The Hawk are designed for the player that is looking for excellent cushioning but also wants a very high performance pair of indoor court shoes ... The Hawk was a new model that came out in 2018. This shoe was the top of Salming’s range in 2018. Salming Kobra 2This post is designed to give you our take on the strengths of each model and the technologies they use. There are 4 series of shoes from Salming: the Hawk, Kobra, the Viper, and the Hawk Court. Each model has its own strength and those strengths will help determine what the right Salming shoe is for you. The original Salming Viper was introduced in 2014, and Salming released several new models in 2015 as well, which were called the Salming Viper 2: Salming Race R1 The Eagle is a new one from Salming for the 2019 season. Don’t know much about it yet. Salming Squash Shoes 2018 Salming Hawk The shoes featured in this article are the most recent season’s models. If you’re feeling savvy and want to save money, shopping around for previous season’s colourways is a great idea. More often than not, these will be functionally identical to their replacements. This means you can get the same shoe for a considerably cheaper price.

The Viper has a bit less cushioning in the front of the shoe, which makes it a bit lighter and more maneuverable. The Viper 5 came out in 2018, with an updated design compared to the Viper 4: Salming Falco After the section on the shoes we have covered the technologies that Salming has incorporated in the shoes in the Salming Technologies section of the post. Please read that section as well as we cover Salming’s description of each technologies and also provide our take on them too. First, the top of the Salming Hawk is different than in other shoes. It consists of several overlaid layers of mesh. It looks and feels like a very thin plastic layer. The biggest advantage of this is that the Hawk is extremely light. At first I doubted a bit whether such a thin layer would provide my feet with sufficient stability. But once I got onto the court and started testing the shoes, I immediately noticed that this was not a problem at all. The entire top consists of a single strip of material that is secured on the heel, which makes the shoe very stable. In addition, the material is air permeable which is always an advantage in squash shoes. Finally, I can´t help saying one more word about the design of the shoe. Although we squash players are generally tough guys and gals who don´t run to the sport shop every time a new item comes for sale, this shoe is simply really cool and makes you want buy it. I´ve noticed that the Salming Hawk has become a popular topic among players. Did you know that Saurav Ghosal and Joel Makin play with these shoes? There really must be something in them. When it comes to the wearing comfort, the first thing you notice is how light the Salming Hawk feels. The shoe tongue is extremely thin and soft, which I feel contributes to the mobility. Also, the shoe offers great cushioning. When I tried on the shoe for the first time, I honestly didn´t think that it would have such a good cushioning. You only realize this when you play with it.It looks like there will be three new colors to start with for the 2019 Salming Hawk: Salming Kobra 2

Salming’s real strength I believe in their line is providing very light, very comfortable, high performance indoor court shoes. The Falco is a new model for 2018. It looks like a redesigned version of the Adder, and might be replacing that shoe. This appears to be the lowest-price shoe in Salming’s 2018 lineup. Salming Squash Shoes 2017 Salming KobraAs per the teaser video, Salming introduced new models in the Hawk, Kobra and Viper ranges. They also introduced a new model called the Eagle. It doesn’t seem like they will continue to produce the Falco or Adder models. Salming Hawk The Race line has been around for a few years. In 2017, Salming came out with a new version of the Race called the Race X: Salming Viper 4 HexaGrip™ - A new very durable lightweight rubber compound - HX120 - that features Salming’s HexaGrip™ pattern designed for the best possible grip on all indoor surfaces. RunLite2™ - The RunLite2™ midsole features a special High Abrasion Injection EVA, designed to create a nice feel for the ground. The mid¬sole is light and responds to the surface in a flexible way from the very first step. Recoil ERF - The material in the midsole is a newly developed compound named RECOIL ERF which is a super lightweight cushioning compound that releases a higher rebound energy effect. The Recoil ERF – as in Recoil Reduction – is a cushioning compound featured in the heel impact zone designed to reduce impact forces and increase comfort when lunging. Dominate the court in these indoor shoes. Hawk features a low to ground profile fuelled with energy, stability and an impeccable grip. If you are looking for pure performance the Salming Viper 5 are the court shoe for you. Light, and very low to the court they will get you around the corner as fast as possible ...
