Description

XSOFT lives up to its name, it's a rather thin pad but certainly soft. the cloth feels very high-quality. Friendly for the wrist. Good surface underneath that supports the pad staying in position. I previously used Logitech G640 which I was also happy with, in comparison the Logitech pad is significantly more "stiff" than the Artisan. I much prefer the more softer/comfortable feel Are Artisan pads worth the hype? Yes. It has excellent build quality, performs flawlessly in game, and is relatively inexpensive. This is a top tier mouse pad as far as control pads go. If not sent in a flat box, it is impossible to get flat. Big wipes make it slower considerably. Also slower if you move your mouse while pressing down the mouse. Artisan is a mousepad manufacturer from Japan. Their mousepads are known to be the endgame of mousepads. They build their mousepads with high-quality fabrics. The weaves are tight and precise which makes the quality control spectacular. As far as mice goes, it goes along perfectly well with my Logitech G Pro Superlight and Zowie S2. I play with medium/high sensitivity

Artisan mousepads have 3 different levels of firmness when it comes to each model. They are Mid, Soft, and Extra Soft. These 3 give different feelings when using the mousepad. Some things to consider with this is firmness & speed + stopping power. For example, Xsoft has more cushion which gives more control and stopping power. The mid-mousepad is thinner and harder which improves speed. Major Quality Control issues with surface finish (major issue). Spins out on anything that isn’t Hero. The Zero has low static friction making it easy to do small adjustments when aiming. Stopping power is the Zero’s forte making it perfect for tactical shooters like Valorant and CS:GO. Classic Artisan pads don’t have a stitched edge while FX Artisan’s do. In all cases, I’d recommend spending the extra money for the FX version to prevent any potential fraying on the mouse pad. The stitching on Artisan pads is excellent and I never really feel them anyway. Conclusion Has bumps on sides of the pad, collects dust really easily, does not lay flat after months of use. Less stiff version of MP510 fabric. For example, the Orange Zero is said to be a little faster on both x and y axis (side to side and up and down). Good durability, rough. Tight threading traps hairs, making cleaning difficult, but it does not impact performance.

Another very popular Artisan pad is the Hien. It’s slightly faster than the Zero but also has a rougher surface. There are large disputes between which is better but both of these are amazing pads. If you’re torn between the two, get the Zero if you want more control and the Hien for more speed. It’s been reported that the colors of the pad can create differences in the speed and control. These inconsistencies rub buyers the wrong way as this is supposed to be a premium pad and that something like color shouldn’t show such changes. On the bottom, Artisan uses a unique rubber design that feels less texturized than other pads. On my walnut countertop, the Zero has some troubles staying in one spot and moves from side to side a little. This does lead to some readjustments mid-game but overall didn’t impact gameplay. It may be due to the surface having a more matte finish as this has zero issues on a glossy or textured surface. Japanese company Artisan has produced high-quality mouse pads since 2000 and earned a worldwide reputation for its stylish design and excellent craftsmanship. With an attention to detail, Artisan creates mouse pads made from the finest materials that offer outstanding performance and comfort for gamers and professionals alike. The company's unique mönstrated texture enhances tactile feel and gives players more grip control in intense game situations.
