My last pad was a Therm-a-rest Ultralite; the Static V was better because of the width, thickness, and ease of use when inflating and deflating.

While I just started using this pad, I already feel confident that this is one of the best lightweight backpacking sleeping pads for your money.The exclusive V-Chambers and dynamic side rails also limit the movement of air, helping warmth stay closer to the top of the pad—meaning closer to you. There are definitely cheaper pads out there, and there are pads that offer greater comfort or warmth.
