I think it has almost followed my own stages in life. I was sort of in between weaning Raffy and Ada when the first book came out, so I'd done it myself and kind of got that competence and was going into it a second time. And then with How to Feed Your Toddler, I think Raffy was about three or four and then Ada was just coming up to one and so I had that toddler aspect of the slight food refusal and when all those challenges come up in the toddler years. Mealtimes are so much easier with Charlotte's guidance.' - Kate Ferdinand Read more Look Inside Details In this beautiful, full-colour book, expert nutritionist Charlotte Stirling-Reed reveals her renowned method that has helped thousands of parents wean their babies confidently.

I would call it a family feeding Bible because I think it's so much more than just recipes. The recipes are so important and I love them and I'm using them a lot but my book has facts and nutrition and practical support in there as well. So it's not just recipes, it's really rounded. Recipes we love: Carrot Cake Granola, Turkey Burgers, Roast Squash Tagine, Cheat’s Veggie Lasagne and Lower-Sugar Marble Cake. There's a lot to think about when you're a parent and we all know how difficult it can be to plan healthy meals that everyone from the littlest member to the largest will enjoy. That's where having a good selection of family cookbooks from the likes of Charlotte Stirling-Reed comes in useful. A lot of people are concerned about the cost of living crisis and food, as a result of this. What would be your advice? Bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes or until golden and bubbling. Serve with steamed greens or a simple salad. I think this is huge. And I think it's something that as a society we really struggle with. I grew up in a generation where everyone was talking about dieting and celebrities were on the front cover if they had a bit of flesh, misplaced or whatever. I think we grew up in a society which was really damaging to self-esteem, to mental health, to our relationship with food and I think it didn't help that at home, there's often quite a lot of pressure. I realised after writing How to Wean Your Baby that although many people need a bit of a handheld guide through their weaning journey, that toddlerhood is really a whole different ballgame. I started to realise how little there was in the way of specific, clear advice on this next stage in feeding little ones and knew I could write a book that would answer all of parents’ questions on the next step of feeding – toddlerhood!

My book starts by offering Nutrition for the whole family “Your Family’s Nutrition”, which breaks down a balanced diet and goes into a bit of detail about the nutrition that different ages and stages in a family will need. It’s very practical with plenty of snippets of advice, graphics to show stand out helpful tips at a glance and taking individuality into account too, of course. In her new book, you'll find 70 delicious and balanced recipes, each with clear baby and toddler adaptations along with Charlotte's expert advice. We especially love Charlotte's guides on how to reduce food waste at home and alternative/substitute ingredients. M&B talks to Charlotte Stirling-Reed It is really tough. And at the moment, you know, you're going to find that very little is going to help because it's really, really, really challenging times. But definitely what I would say is batch cooking actually does save you a lot of money. Especially if you're bringing food home, you're prepping it, getting it ready, freezing it. So for example, if you bought some potatoes from the supermarket they're about to go off, get them home, slice them up, lay them on a tray and pop them in the freezer. And that means that they actually are going to last for a much longer time. And when you're batch cooking, you tend to be able to throw lots of things in and you then have got food that was going to go to waste all bundled into a big batch cook bowl and then you freeze it again and it means that you don't have to go to supermarket as many times to buy food. I know I can always trust Charlotte for delicious recipes and the best advice; she fills me with calm and confidence.' - Rochelle Humes

Charlotte's warm words, inspiring meals, and solid experience are the perfect recipe for supporting parents as they nurture their children's relationship with food.' - Anna Mathur The Next Chapter is about “Family Mealtimes”. Why they matter, how to make them a little easier and simpler, and practical tips to help everyone enjoy them more. Genuinely this is something I’ve dreamed of from the very start of my career and now, voila! It’s here. A little different…

Genuinely this is something I’ve dreamed of from the very start of my career and now, voila! It’s here. I trust Charlotte completely with her advice on feeding toddlers - she's my go-to for any advice on my son's eating' - Dr Zoe Williams Read more Details The other thing I would say is bulk buying things like pasta and rice and making sure we visit the aisle in the supermarket which has got a lot more different foods from different cultures. Sometimes you can get a lot of cheaper options like big bags of lentils and big bags of rice and couscous from there as well. So definitely do that.

After the first 30 days, there is also a whole section on “What Next”. Which often parents really need after they’ve taken the first steps on the weaning journey. This helps you to have the knowledge and confidence to continue to feed your baby way into their first year. Including how to balance meals, what to do about textures, what happens when fussy eating starts and, again, much, much more. Spoon a third of the tomato and lentil mix into an ovenproof dish or tin (about 20 x 30cm), then lay down the lasagne sheets. Top with 4 heaped tablespoons (about a third) of the cottage cheese mix, spreading it right to the sides, then add another third of the tomato and lentil mix, then more lasagne sheets and another third of the creamy mix. Finish with a third layer of lasagne sheets and the remaining creamy mix, and a little extra cheese for the top.

I was finding (especially since having Ada and being a working mum to two kids) that feeding my family was getting a little tiresome. I was a bit fed up with creating multiple meals every day, making the same dishes, and having to spend so long creating them. Plus, I was finding myself struggling to think of meal ideas to create in the first place.
