Description

Halloween, the annual holiday that comes on the 31st of October, has been a long-standing tradition celebrated in many countries worldwide. It originated from the ancient Celtic festival of Samhain, where people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts. Over time, Halloween has evolved into a more commercialized event filled with pumpkins, candy, and haunted houses. However, one particular event that stands out is Halloween 25 Years of Terror.

Just to confuse things further, it seems as though the rest of the extras listed above are actually presented on the third disc. Its really confusing! Twelve films have followed since the 1978 original was released. Michael Myers is the antagonist in all of the entries with the exception of Halloween III: Season of the Witch, a story with no direct connection to any other film in the series. Starting with Halloween II, most of the various sequels appeared between 1981 and 2002, including a 10th anniversary film in 1988 and a 20th anniversary sequel in 1998. In 2007 writer-director Rob Zombie created a remake of the 1978 film (and a sequel released two years later). The franchise would go dormant for nine years until a direct sequel to the original film, which ignores all previous sequels, was released in 2018. The sequel to the 2018 film, Halloween Kills, was released in 2021 with the most recent entry, Halloween Ends, released on October 14, 2022. [1] [2] Halloween 25 Years of Terror was the brainchild of Trancas International Films, the production company behind the Halloween franchise. The event was created to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the release of the original Halloween film. The idea was to bring together fans of the franchise and the horror genre to celebrate Halloween in a unique and memorable way. Carlin, Shannon (October 14, 2022). A lot of readers found in the comic books what they had been missing from the films in the later sequels. Our books are very faithful to the source material, and by that we mean the original film itself. In our stories, Michael Myers is very much again "The Shape" — the undefined bogeyman of 1978, rather than the family killer of the 80s and 90s.

One of the main challenges was securing the participation of the original cast and crew, many of whom had moved on to other projects. However, with the help of dedicated fans, the organizers were able to bring together the majority of the cast and crew for a memorable panel discussion. In his free time, Shane loves going for runs and playing with his 16-year-old beagle Butterscotch. Butters for short, she has been the greatest love of his and inspires him everyday, both creatively and emtionally. On top of that, he's now a huge collector. He loves Funko Pop, McFarlane Toys, and Neca's huge line of horror figures. In the last two years he has been going to a lot of conversations to buy an unhealthy amount of figures. This has also allowed him to meet some of his favorite filmmakers/actors like Mike Flanagan, Matthew Lillard, John Carpenter, Grace Caroline Curry, Steve Burns and Kathryn Newton. Conclusion O'Rourke, Kelly (1997-12-01). The Old Myers Place (Halloween, Book 2). Berkley Books. ISBN 1-57297-341-2. Carpenter, John (Writer/Director) and Debra Hill (Writer) (1978). Halloween ( DVD). United States: Compass International Pictures. At the root of the film’s brilliance was its simplicity. The story didn’t so much hint at those fairytales that had lodged themselves in my young, impressionable mind, but instead actually was one of them – living and breathing the same nightmarish air. It followed the same archetypal structure as the children’s fairytale – no sudden plot twists or surprises, but instead a terrifying playing-out of the inevitable. As such, it felt familiar and thus closer to home. Halloween didn’t try and outsmart your fears, it attached itself to them, cleanly and perfectly in a way that hasn’t really been done since.

In 1983, Wizard Video, who had also released a video game version of The Texas Chain Saw Massacre, released a Halloween game for the Atari 2600. In the game, the player is a babysitter who has to protect her children from Michael Myers, who has managed to get inside the house. Although the game is called Halloween, and features the film's theatrical poster as its cover art as well as the movie's main music theme, the game itself never refers to any characters, including the killer, by their names in the film.
