Fresher and more versatile than I had expected going in. I own all the Halloween fragrances and all of them perform well. This is no exception. This fragrance brand belongs to the Perfumes y Diseño Group family of brands.Other brands examples are Desigual, Tous and Roberto Verino. Opening is a warm, sweet, and spicy blast of coffee. The coffee note is instantly recognizable, followed by a decent dose of cardamom and a little touch of brightness from the lemon and lavender. In the dry down the coffee is still the strongest note, but you also get sweetness from the tonka and amber along with a small amount of leather, whiskey, and cinnamon. I also get a little bit of a chocolate vibe as well, but it's probably just a combination of the other notes doing that. The coffee really overpowers everything else though. I don't get any of the mineral or incense notes. The comparisons to Salvatore Ferragamo's Uomo Signature are pretty spot on, it's a very close match. Also, the comparisons to Axe's Dark Temptation are pretty close too. This is definitely a fall/winter fragrance, most suited for night time wear. This is not an office friendly fragrance.

Overall, this is an excellent blind buy and has impressed me enough to be on the lookout for other Jesus Del Pozo scents. Longevity is great, smells is stellar, and I'll definitely be keeping it in ym collection. However for me is missing that special "something" to love it. As I am not a particular fan of Valentino and Dior Homme, so probably I would like this fragrance to lean more to the YSL or CH directon or even to an independent own direction (more bozier and darker). For me, this is a pass. It isn't terrible but I'll take something with poor performance and better composition and respray that even though it is twice the price. Actually, when you factor in respraying it becomes 4 times the price. Hmm, maybe

Performance seems to be quite good and can be called slightly above average. I get a good longevity, about 5-6 hours on skin with good projection the first couple hours, not bad at all. Presentation is quite basic but solid, I like the simplicity overall; the atomizer is also decent and sprays a good burst. Our Vampires Are Different: Vampires in Halloween Man are more monstrous in appearance. Including the six-armed Dr. Owl. Also, in recent issues, mutated "vegan" vampires were featured. They ended up being just as much trouble as your regular, garden variety, vampires. The first aromatic-aquatic appeared in 1991, making this signature a relative newcomer to the fragrance world. The herbaceous notes are brightened with cooling seaside tones, resulting in a salty, rugged freshness. When this particular product is first applied, grapefruit, ginger and lemon are recognisable. Next middle notes of sage, lavender, waterlily and marine notes take the spotlight. At last a deluge of amber, moss, cashmeran and patchouli soars in to round out the olfactory experience. (Cashmeran is a synthetic used to enhance woody-muskiness.) Jesus del Pozo Fragrances: Price UK Halloween Man X is beautiful fragrance. Prominent coffee note, mixed with warm cinnamon, sweet vanillic tonka, and boozy whiskey to create this sweet yet rich coffee aroma.

I was testing Halloween shot female version which by the way I liked very much and added it to my wishlist immediately, that I saw it's male version So when you see someone yapping (probably in a nasal David Spade voice) about "its smells synthetic" just bypass the comment. It holds no value. They are not discussing the qualities of the fragrance, they are just ignorant of perfumery. A great addition to a fall/winter rotation. A decent helping of coffee. Does it smell like SF Uomo? Not exactly, but I don't think it is trying to be a UOMO clone. They share a coffee accord. Yay. HM Shot is in the same ballpark as the two mentioned but it has enough of it's own character to not be (too) redundant. That ballpark means it's a slightly spicy date night frag, but the dry down is where they all show their distinct character. For Halloween Man it goes more powdery which makes it fresher, a little less mature and not as dark as the other two. It kind of reminds me of baby powder (which isn't a criticism). Being cheaper it has a slightly sharper opening but it is by no means harsh or cheap smelling. HM Shot is really a nice casual and inoffensive cool weather scent that performs reasonably well (lasts a solid 4-6 hrs). It's inviting without being cloying or choking anyone out. Leans more masculine and on the younger side but middle age can easily pull it off. Great dumb reach for cooler months.
