Description
Use the first clean microfibre cloth to spread Rapid Aqua Wax until there is an even coating over all surfaces. SRP is not a wax or sealant, and should never be used as a final treatment. The reason why it's not lasting is that there is no protection over the top of it! Hybrid Wax is actually one of the easiest spray waxes that I’ve applied in recent years. It can be used in two ways, wet or dry. If the car is still wet, two sprays are enough to put onto the panel. Then it’s just the matter of using a microfibre cloth to dry off the panel. Waxes can come in different forms, and that means they need to be applied in different ways. Natural waxes usually come in paste form, and they take the longest to apply properly. I have access to a powerhose and I have a bottle of car wash shampoo, cant think of the name now, mythol or something, the blue/green coloured stuff, got it in Halfords, was recommended on here.
Which one you choose is up to you, both are very good and you will not be disappointed by either. We hope this post has helped you choose, or you could carry out your own tests and get both! In contrast, synthetic waxes and sealants are much cheaper and last much longer. They’re often available in sprayable or liquid form so they’re easier to apply. However, they’re regarded as providing a slightly inferior finish to real wax. What form do waxes come in? Most waxes should be applied after you’ve washed the car and dried it with a chamois leather or microfiber cloth. The application is also slightly different. The first time it is applied, it is done on a wet car. The ceramic wax is buffed off and the car is dried. Subsequent applications of the wax can be sprayed on, and then rinsed off. This is actually a nice and easy process. Following these steps will extend the lifespan of the Ceramic Wax. Aqua Wax is specially formulated to impart a brilliant smear-free finish on ALL exterior surfaces, even when the vehicle is wet. The immediate benefit is that there is no need to dry the car between washing and polishing.
Most detailers will recommend using a clay bar first if you're wanting to apply wax to your car. This will keep your paintwork free of any contaminants so you get a better overall finish. If you want to know more about this process, we've written a guide to clay barring. Polishing your car is a great way to fade small scratches and imperfections. Find out how with our handy guide. Both will create a protective layer for your car’s paint from UV rays, water and other contaminants but do not last as long as synthetic waxes. You’ll typically need to wax your car every six weeks if you use carnauba wax.I learnt this on motorbikes, multiple coats- up to 7 or 10, each coat buffed off and left for and hour or so - build up the depth of the polish and result in a deeper shine and it lasts a whole summer. But who wants to wax a car more than once? Not me for sure! a dirty discoloured look and I'm hoping to treat the paintwork so that it repels this type of grime much better keeping it cleaner Meguiar’s are well known around the world for their high quality detailing products. Hybrid Ceramic Wax is a curious spray wax. Whilst it has Ceramic in the name, it’s not quite a ceramic coating. Instead, it has ceramic like properties. It is infused with SiO2 which provides a high level of durability and longevity. It is actually one of the pricier spray waxes on the market.
Aqua Wax is a liquid spray formula (containing real carnauba wax) that is great in providing a ‘top-up’ wax protection and shine to your paintwork. Best of all, this is achieved in a short, easy application process that can be done straight after washing/rinsing, when the car is still dripping wet. The product can be applied to all exterior surfaces, including rubber trim and glass – although not on the windscreen, as this can cause smearing. Rapid Aqua Wax is the best kept secret in car care. Our carnauba based wax can be applied directly to a wet vehicle straight after washing, giving you a stunning hard wax finish in just a fraction of the time. Paste wax will take the longest to apply but will give the best overall coverage. It will provide a much deeper shine and finish but can easily eat up an entire afternoon. Not all wax is the same and it’s worth knowing the different types so you can get the right results:Aqua Wax is not a polish, so will not remove or improve the appearance of scratches, swirls or dull paint. Features & Benefits: Pure carnauba wax is yellow in colour and expensive but will give a deep shine and excellent protection. White carnauba wax contains additives including beeswax and turpentine and is cheaper to buy but will still protect your paintwork. Both types are available in paste, spray and liquid form. Natural car waxes tend to last for a good six to eight weeks, while synthetic waxes and sealants can last longer – often for over three months. Don’t expect them to look as good, though.
