The batteries last well but will be significantly discharged over a day, I use the drill for pilots and the driver for the heavy screws. Consider a spare battery for charging and a fast charger to get it charged while using the others or to do multiple batteries overnight.

This second generation impact driver is superior to it's first generation counterpart, where it offers more torque, speed, working life and efficiency. Well this unit has the torque. The different speed selection is useful and the torque is much higher than the drill driver, which is okay for small DIY jobs but not up to CLS stud work for example.

The Dewalt DCF887N offers fantastic value for money, with its brushless motor allowing for increased torque, power and efficiency. It really does offer a massive amount of torque considering the size and cost of the tool, so it will be able to work well under pressure. This model of the Dewalt Impact Drill is manufactured with a new impact mechanism, meaning the tool can provide you with longer drive and better speed – this can be seen massively when working with tougher materials as the DCF887N is still able to maintain decent speeds of around 430RPM!
